Haye showed he can deal with pressure on Saturday though. Yes Povetkin puts on more intense pressure than Valuev certainly, but he's also far smaller, and gives Haye therefore more space to move and re-set himself. Also, Povetkin doesn't really have one-punch power. In fact, he's not really a puncher at all I think you'd agree. His stoppages have all really come from intense punch-volume. Couple that with the fact he's also looking to throw punches and go on the offensive, leaving himself open, then I think Haye can find gaps to land big punches. And at this point, I'm not sure how well Povetkin would take them. Given the only real names/top guys he's faced - Chambers & Byrd - are not noted punchers by any means.
Haye would destroy this guy. This guy is a convention belt heavyweight. He's shorter than Haye, yet Haye can get lower than him despite having him beat in the reach department. Boystov has little outside game, his hands are slow in comparison and his movement is ordinary. Not to mention the fact that he has very little experience. Haye would put a severe beating on this guy. It would look like a man against a boy. Oh wait Boystov has power...... So does Butterbean.
Those are the type of fighters Haye loves to fight. Haye said before Macaranelli that Macca fights like a stand up eastern european and that is ideal for him and look what happened. The other stand up eastern European Haye fought that springs to mind is Gurov for the EBU belt. Gurov was 6 foot 6 with heavy hands and that stand up eastern european style and go look on youtube what happened in that fight
yeah cause haye is so easy to beat :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl seriously boystov needs to step it up before he gets close to a fight with haye and lets be honest haye has far bigger fish to fry:good a win against bidenko is not the same as fighting haye
Haye can also look like Foreman when facing tomato can like this. Denis sure can punch but he never met a real top fighter.
Its not just the win over Bidenko, the guy clearly is talented and has lots of power. And Haye's chin is suspicious, i can see Boystov knocking him out
Good point!:good You are right, dhralf! Nevertheless, the talent and the punch is there. He stopped all opponents on his way to win the gold medal at the juniour world championchip in south corea a few years ago where he faced the best young heavies this planet could offer. I dont like the way his coach has taught him to fight within the last couple of months.Boytsov used to go out with blazing guns looking for a quick ko victory. His German's coach cautious approach doesnt suit Boytsov's style IMO. Anyway! I very much hope that his next opponent wont play in the same league as his last one Jason Gavern! It doesnt really make much sense for him to fight another b level fighter at this stage of his career. He needs a known and good name in front of his fists. Bidenko was a good scalp, but not the most recognisable one out there. His promoter should aim for bigger targets and spend some good bucks on a good opponent!:bbb As for Haye vs Boytsov the Brit surely has a puncher's chance against any fighter out there. He is a very dangerous boxer. No doubt about it! However,my gut feeling somehow tells me that he has problems with fast foes who also have pop in his fists. Boytsov,Povetkin, and even Chambers who isnt that known for his murderous firepower are more dangerous to him than a mobile and predictable banger like Sam Peter.
lol some of the responces on this thread are great & Reaper is at the top of the list, i thought everthing you did was devoid of emotion Reap? May i say again that you sir are Haye's........... This content is protected No power, no handspeed? Using the Gavern and Bidenko fights to try to argue this? Pick something that you can at least make a remotely credible argument against.
