Don't you remember Arreola was supposed to walk through Adamek's punches to knock him out? If Adamek has enough power to keep guys with big chins like Arreola, Estrada and Grant off of him, then he has plenty to crack the suspect chin of David Haye. Don't you remember, Cunningham was supposed to be too quick and too slick for Adamek too? Face it: Adamek has the overal package to beat a guy like Haye. I seriously doubt Haye would be the first man to stop Adamek.
Big fan of Adamek, enjoy watching him fight. I would like to see it, I mean Haye could conceivably take him out early as he likes to come foward, is not that hard to hit, and despite having a good chin, he cant be hurt. Adamek has tended to box on the backfoot at HW, but I dont think he would fight Haye that way. If Haye couldn't take him out before the mid rounds, could turn into a real interesting fight, cause Adamek has shown he can go into deep water and come out victories. Haye has the heart, but if someone is able to take his power, once he starts to tire, is continually asking questions of his stamina, chin, could be interesting as I say.
Come on man, I can understand support , but Arreola and Grant? they make Harrison look like Jack Dempsey. Im not saying I dont like Adamek , I do , I personally think he has the biggest balls in the heavyweight division as he will fight anybody, but that doesnt mean he would beat them. He SD'd Cunningham who hurt him and Cunningham isnt even a puncher and has pretty much beat the best of a bad bunch of heavies. Haye is bigger , quicker, hits harder and just does everything better.
this is true but adamek is very hittable and was almost taking out my michael grant whos almost 40 and even in prime was never a top guy, hayes sped will be too muc for adamek even though id love to see adamek destroy haye
Haye does not do everything better. That's a ridiculous statement. For starters Haye doesn't take a punch better than Adamek. His punching technique is also pretty unorthodox while Adamek punches straight down the pipe. His stamina is also very likely inferior to Adamek's. He is no where near as active as Adamek. Adamek's activity level is effective to the extent that he's been able to outwork every HW, CW and LHW (except Dawson) he's faced. As for size, give me a break. Arreola was supposed to eclipse Adamek and yet they were standing forehead to forehead. There is no significant size advantage in this fight. Anyway, instead of speculating about the outcome Haye could have agreed to make this fight happen when Duva was calling several times. Question is - why didn't he? This fight should have made sense to him on every possible level.
Here's what Atlas thinks of Adamek - Haye (4:45) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZcc007xVpM&feature=related[/ame]
I do think Adamek gets overlooked somewhat at times, I mean Banks, Cunningham, Estrada, could be considered better technical fighters than Adamek, guys who before hand you could easily conceive, could beat someone like Adamek, what with his style, yet he was still able to overcome their styles, so I think that says something about how the things he does well, can get overlooked.
Yep. Adamek has been an underdog many times. Personally I did not think he could win with Cunningham in light of his loss to Dawson. You can analyse Adamek all you want, but he often defies the odds and pulls it out on solid, consistent boxing toughness and ring IQ alone.
Yeah, he deffo has flaws, but he's improved a lot under Roger Bloodworth imo. I think he's actually pretty adept at stalking you into areas of the ring where he can exploit you. I felt he fought a patient smart fight against Banks and eventually caught up to him.
Haye had tough fights against Fragomeni and Mormeck who for sure are not better than Adamek and still you dont give him any chances. I dont see that. Whats more, Adamek has developed hugely since CW. He is better with each fight whereas Hayes inactivity surely doesnt benefit him.
I think Haye is perfectly capable of picking Adamek off from range and landing classy shots to outbox him.:good
I honestly don't think that we will see Haye vs any top heavyweights. Except maybe to finally cash out by getting knocked out by a Klitschko in his last fight.
I think Adamek's a statistical nightmare for Haye, good stamina, good chin, high work rate, and considerably enough power to stop Haye. Then on the other hand, i still think Haye's got a better shot to beat Wlad than Thomasz has. With Haye's concussive power, he'll have more of a chance to take out, the less durable Klitschko...
I go back and forth on this fight. At times I'm thinking Haye catches Adamek eventually. But Haye could tire and Adamek could catch him. Probably Adamek's fight if it goes to the cards. Booth just give us this fight. Unfortunately I guess Haye gets stripped if he fights Adamek next. But maybe in the Fall if Adamek-Klitschko doesn't happen.
