From a quality point of view, yes. But Briggs is much more dangerous than any of Haye's opponents, especially in the first 2-3 rounds. After that Briggs will tire and can be picked off from the outside.

Haye will never fight Briggs unless he'd become a mandatory. And even then Haye would find a way out.

Well Audley Harrison has been talked about as a potential opponent, so frankly I wouldn't be surprised by anything.... Hell, I'm waiting for someone to say that Muhammad Ali is coming out of retirement to fight him in a wheel chair...

Briggs and Haye would be good but I would rather see Briggs get KO'ed into retirement by Wlad or Vitali.

So, if you want to debate that, fine. I gave my opinion. I think a match with Briggs would not only be a joke, but also a bad fight. There are two fights that make sense for Haye right now: Wlad or Adamek.

 

Yes but Audley is an extremely low risk opponent, compared with Briggs anyways. Between Briggs and Audley I guarantee you Haye will always choose Audley.

Audley is ZERO risk for good PPV money. Briggs is high risk for ZERO PPV money.

The Shannon Briggs from the Lewis fight would starch Haye within 3 rounds in a brilliant fight. Haye would beat him now though in a boring fight.
