They're nothing alike in terms of style and Chagaev has displayed more 1 punch power up until recently.

Povetkin Adamek have much more similar styles and would produce a foty type bout imo. That's the fight i'v always wanted to see.

 

There are mental similarities between Chagaev and Povetkin. They both appear mentally fragile with serious self-doubt and lack of belief in their own abilities. Sadly, such characters have little place in professional boxing.

We often drag the fat American HWs into the dirt but what good is all natural talent and a good amateur pedigree of guys like Povetkin or Chagaev if you're unable to execute in the ring and freeze like a deer in the headlights?
