i'm thinking about it but wont get a ticket til after price/sexton and froch/ bute fights. Flea, if you get train i'll jump on their with you
Neither guy is licensed in the UK,the BBBC has not approved the fight and some foreign entity will supervise this fiasco?Don't wish to rain on your parade-but what thinks this fight will come off without Government authorization? Just asking.:huh
I'm in. Can't drum up support from mates though!!! Hopefully can get some Choi faithful down there and share transport or whatever. Its times like this o wish I was a cockney. This fight should be in Birmingham :good
It would be a restriction of business to ban the show... No Government autherisation needed as covered by EU law.
whats the government got to do with this? its international sport. Sauerland constantly stage fights all round europe without the countries license. The British board of boxing control themselves do this. Sanction fights outside of the uk
You may be right, however, does boxing in the UK not fall under the British jurisdiction(ie.The Government) and would they not have veto powers in their own Country? I don't profess to know how the EU and the British Govt. intertwine, but it just seems to me the UK Govt. would have the final say.:good
Nice work. Still mulling it over. Starting to remember the tedium of sitting outside waiting for Mitchell-Katsidis. Why wasn't this at the O2?!
Fair enough.I practice law in Canada and NY State, and I can assure you that in North America this fight would not be sanctioned under the same circumstances without State(Govt.) approval. I still find hard to believe that without local Govt. sanctioning this fight goes on.Live and learn,I guess.
I've no chance of getting holidays. Will be the 1st Haye fight I've missed since Valuev. Will have to make do with Froch vs Bute. Just hope that one goes ahead.
