Haye vs Golota in June for WBC strap

Peter will probably not fight in June, he will wait for Vitaly, the next mandatory fight will be in fall. So if Haye wants fight Peter he need to fight someone from top 10 in WBC and Golota is the one available.

So will Haye beat current Golota?

Peter wants to fight someone, after he fights Vitaly or even more if this fight will not happen Peter must wait at least to the beginning of the next year for his next mandatories. Wlad will not be ready to fight him this year not even Chagayev who is dealing with his health and his next mandatory this year.

... so in the mean time Peter may fight someone in the late fall ... then Golota/Haye may be fight for possible voluntary "big money" type defense.

 

I think the fight may resemble either Golota-Mollo or Haye-Bonin, of course Haye will have better timing and snap but if he fails to deliver something realy big in the round 1 then Golota will overwhelm him with power and still decent skills.

Golota have much better defense and chin than Bonin and his defense is nowadays much improved in the first round so there is good chance he survive and then Haye will fly all over the ring from round 3 to 12.

 

I doubt, Haye isn't at the same intimidiation level as Lewis, any one shot from Lewis really hurt Golota or made him uncoucius ... Golota was just scared and intimidiated from the volume of punches which were thrown at him, so he crumbled into the ring corner.

The fight may better resemble Golota-Brewster or even more Haye-Bonin, where Haye throw strong and accurate courpunching shots, but one at a time only. The problem with this is that Golota have much better chin than Bonin and probably Haye is not at the same as Brewster punching level. So even if Haye land something early it doesn't mean he will enough hurt Golota or stop him.

 

Every stick have two ends. Haye isn't a perfect defensive boxer either, his chin and more important his stamina is very suspectible, which will be even more suspectible when he add 20-30 lb. So I think there is no way Haye KO Golota after first two ... maximum three rounds.

The reason Mollo was out of shape after 5 round is mostly beacuse Golota landed on him consistently big shots and overpowered him in close distance.

So either Haye land something really big and stop Golota early or Golota wins UD or stop him later by KO or exhaustion.
