Talk about perspective??? First off, Vitali isn't allowed to fight tomato cans. Personally, I think he's damaging his legacy and that he should retire. However, I give him a bit of leeway because he at least tried to make fights with other fighters. He tried to get both Solis and Valuev in the ring. They didn't want to fight him. Then there's the fact that Vitali is 39 years old and he's clearly slowing down. Lastly, he fights about twice as often as Haye.

Yes, the Haye haters will always hate him, but Haye screwed this one up six way from Sunday. If he wanted to fight Audley he should have made the fight immediately and got on with it. You don't wait 4 1/2 months before you make an announcement and waste what will probably end up being 7 months of his prime on Audley friggin Harrison. It's disgraceful.

If Vlitali wants to fight a tomato can every 4 months I don't like it and I won't watch. I haven't watched his last 2 fights. But again, perpective...He's not wasting his best years, is he? He is already well past his best. For Haye, a Harrison fight is meaningless. It will kill his reputation in the international boxing press no matter how well he does. He'll be expected to kayo Harrison in 1 minute of the first round. If he doesn't do that, even the British press might turn on him. Horrible fight.

I agree and dont want to see this fight also..even though its looking more likely as the days roll by. But what did Haye do to really justify his crack at the WBA strap? Not much really at heavyweight!

Whilst again I agree your boy's not exactly fought the greatest fighters has he? And Vitali in his last fight fought who?

I dont like this Harrison fight but if its on and I can get it cheap enough I will watch it as its better than no fight at all. But I do heavily criticise Haye for taking the easy payday. That is all this fight really is a guy who is scared milking his cash cow.

No no don't turn this around I'm not letting you off the hook that easily. You were comparing Vitali's heavyweight achievements to haye's heavyweight achievements as a justification for Vitali fighting cans. You can't deny that, since the proof is there in your previous post. Now just cos I pull you up on what you said, you're now saying you don't like Vitali fighting tomato cans, but just a little while ago, you said it was ok.

It turns out there is interest in this fight here in the UK, so from a domestic perspective and a financial one, the fight makes sense. This is not a legacy builder fight, everyone knows that, including Haye, but Haye seems to think it's an easy night's work, talk up the fight, put on a show etc. At the same time, Audley may have that one shot that takes Haye out. It's not a clear cut win for Haye.

Also, where were you for the pas4 4 and half months? Didn't you hear Haye say he was taking time out, to spend time with his family as his Mrs had given birth. You don't think he had better things to do?

It's quite simple, don't watch the fight, if it bothers you so much. There are other things you could be doing with your time.

Haye - Harrison would be fine if Haye had tried everything he could to try fighting either Vitali or Wlad.

The sad truth is Haye did everything he could in order to *NOT* fight them. Haye is willingly sabotaging the heavyweight division and so are his defenders.

This isn't the first time something like this happens. It's a tune-up at best and Haye had some good fights recently, there's nothing wrong with this fight.

It's a reason to stop supporting Haye. The rest of the sport is fine.

    :good

I don't fault Harrison here - whether he deserves this fight or not. This is all on all talk, no action Haye. Trash talking the K bros then running away from them w/lame excuses. Haye should fight a Povetkin or Adamek or some like HW. He clearly doesn't believe he has much of a chance vs either K bro.

Comparing Vitali's HW resume w/DH's is FAIR. Vitali never has and never will fight below HW. There is no comparison to what Vitali has accomplished at HW compared to Haye. In his late 20s Haye s/be in his prime. What the hell is he waiting for? His biggest accomplishment at HW was his controversial MD over the lumbering Valuev. Haye barely qualifies as a top 10 HW.

Haye vs Harrison is a credible reason to stop supporting David Haye but not boxing.
