Sorry if I'm a little late on this one, but here is the source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/8728615.stm
The article is a combination of Audleys recent comments and Booths from last week. The title of this thread is misleading
It's not. Harrison's camp said they had initiated talks and nobody knew if it was true. Haye's camp have came out and said it's true and that both are talking. Don't just read page one, it goes on.
Actually when you read the article only Audleys "camp" has confirmed anything...no quotes from Booth/Haye
I don't want to hear another word from Haye about the Klitschkos taking easy fights if he does go through with this. :yep
This quote from Booth in the Times seems a little more realistic: “As a boxing fan, I hate the fight, because Audley has not boxed anyone in the top 20, but I know that maybe David didn’t deserve a shot at Valuev,” Booth said. “Within Britain it will be a fight that people would love to see, but [Haye] will receive a lot of criticism worldwide. He will be called a coward for not facing the Klitschkos and his credibility will be shot to pieces." It doesnt sound like the words of a camp ready to do a deal with Harrison.
People saying that Harrision sells tickets......well he doesn't. The last time a fight with Audley on the card hasn't sold out since 2005 agaisnt Danny Williams. I was at his last fight with Sprott. the rumour going round was that Sprott vs Audley was moved to 10pm becuase Harrison has only sold 90 tickets and Hearn was worried all the fans that were there two see Darren Barker and Chris Evangerlou would leave. Harrison doesn't sell tickets!
Very disapointing indeed if this fight comes off, I am sure the Klits will be bricking it waiting for the outcome of this contest...:yep Haye can knock him out whenever he wants too...:deal
Honest appraisal by Booth, but I doubt people on here will take any notice of what actually comes out of the horses mouth, speculation being king
