I dont see it mate. Iv watched both fighters in their prime. David has had less than a handful of fights at heavy against fighters who have had one foot in retirement. Im not a believer in the slightest. When Haye puts his money where his mouth is then il sit up and take note. But not before.

Than the 50 year old versionm maybe.

A prime Holyfield - floored Riddick Bowe and stopped Mike Tyson.

Thats alot more impressive than stopping 40 year old John Ruiz. :deal

Iv said it time and again on this board. Haye doesnt like to do roadwork. Fact is he's lazy. If he wanted to make 200lbs trust me he could do it every day of the week. He just doesnt want to. Plus he gets more £££ up at heavy.
210lbs is not a heavy. **** i was 248lbs 3 weeks ago and have come down to 236. Im 2 inches shorter than Haye and theres no way even i could make that without being unhealthy. Haye is not a heavy. He's just a pretender.

    What your specific predication?

Ive said it that Haye will walk through Harrison and knock him out.

Haye hits harder than Holy just by the reaction of guys that he knocked over, Holyfield did it through attrition.

Of course Holyfield resume is better than Haye, but that not really the point.

Besides.......what we boxing fans should really be asking is this the first time at any point in history that 3 champions Vitali, Wlad and Haye have taken on opposition that sit outside the top 20 men in the world?

Vitali has taken on after Arreola who was a top ten at the time K. Johnson (top20), Sosnowski (outside top 20), Briggs (Outside top 20).

Wlad taking on Chisora who isnt a top 20.

And Haye taking on Harrison who isnt a top 20.

    You've missed the point.
For 2 years Haye ran off his mouth and chased the Klits. Instead he delivers this. Thats just nonsense and a false expectation. If he cant back up his big talk simply shut up or fight. Because thats exactly what the Klits do. Love them or loath them they fight regularly and against ALL contenders. Granted Vlad should not be fighting Chisora but as a stay busy fight i have an immense amount of respect for him. As he does what a champion does. And thats fight. Haye on the other hand writes cheque's that his ass cant cash.

In terms of frame, and his natural body structure yeah maybe Haye isnt quite a true Heavyweight in the true sense of the word.

But i believe he has taken on a new diet which has less meat based foods, also this weight was Ali prime weight, Holmes prime weight....are you saying those fighters werent true heavyweights?

His dislike from road work probably stems from Him and Booth taking on the latest research in sports science which suggests that training should be as specific as possible.....hence why they do sprint training down crystal palace.

True, i agree with you on those points about Haye.

Ive watched Haye since 2001, saw his pro debut on BBC in 2002, recorded all his fights along witht he emerging Cotto as i thought these two would be the next two great fighters of there eras. I felt Haye had improved all the way up untill the Barrett fight where i felt for the first time he was getting sloppy with his form. The Valuev fight, he did just enough and the Ruiz fight he was even more sloppy.

Him taking on Harrison smacks of comercial interests rather critical success i.e building a legacy.

Also i believe Haye will not fight a Klit next but R. Chagaev.

He's not Ali and he's not Larry Holmes is he. Theres a reason why the cruiser division was created and the weight division was made heavier in the early 2000's. That was because fighters have got bigger and heavier.
Now im not saying Haye has to weigh a particular weight. But 210lbs for a guy who is 6ft 3 is NOT a heavyweight by todays standards. 70's 80's 90's that would have been fine. But not in this current era.
And sprint training is not going to increase he's CV. Its painfully obvious Haye is just a 5 round fighter. Boxing is a marathon. Not a sprint. Be prepared to fight 12 rounds. Or be prepared to loose.

Haye's looking to make some easy money off his title. Dont expect him to be around in this game for much longer. But do expect him to cash out within the next year or so.
Im not sure il miss him. Iv been watching Haye since he was in the am's. And have watched him in the pro's from his first fight. I had high hopes for him and was certainly on the bandwagon. But as fan Haye has been a let down.

I think David Haye's track workouts are by far superior to the roadwork some other boxers do. He does something like 100, 100m sprints......prob split up into sets of 10, with a walk back recovery, at 70% effort.

Thats called extensive Tempo running, produce some lactate, and his heart rate would be in VO2max range through the whole session.

But i agree, on the heavyweight part you are saying man. I don't think David Haye is a true heavyweight, I'm 6"1 and 13stone flat off just doing push ups, and pulls ups, and running man. I could pump myself up to Heavyweight if i wanted to, and i have been around 15stone before, when i used to blast the weight training and just eat.

I think if David Haye lived and trained with me, he wouldn't be much heavier than me.

He would drop down to 14stone or something.

I think Naturally, David Haye is a CW.

I like David Haye he is a Winner, flamboyant, Handsome........i don't dislike him.

Evander Holyfield was not a true Heavy weight eather, when Holyfield fought Buster Douglas in 1990 Holyfield came in at 208lb and Douglas came in at 246 and got KO'ed so your weight theory makes no sense.

    Ruiz was 38 not 40.

Yeah he dropped Bowe, and Tyson but yet again it goes back to what im saying ....Holyfield takes you out through attrition. His shot against Tyson was perfectly excuted and caught Tyson off balance but didnt have Tyson on ***** street.

When did Holyfield take out heavyweights in the early rounds with big shots? or even drop them? in his vast carrer i can only think of B. Douglas and that brazillian guy he fought before landing the heavyweight title.

Haye competion is shallow compared to Haye, but then Davey boy is only 30....regardless of what he says about retirement we could see the guy fight for another 5 or 6 yrs.

    Exactly.

Whats all this bollocks that Haye winning is in the sports interests.

And Harrison winning would bring the heavyweight divison down.

Not at all - Haye deserves some egg on his face.

He got it before when he thought he was big chesse against Carl Thompson.

And I hope he gets it again tonight.

Forget the Klits - Haye dosent want to fight them - he just wants to string the fans along while cashing in.

    Hayes a sell out.
