    Haye wasn't a superior fighter.

    Nobody is buying that sh*t.

    What about the adrenaline?

What about the fact that he never even attempted a body shot?

If his toe hurt that much on his right foot, why didn't he change tactics, instead of repeatedly throwing telegraphed right hands?

    He bottled it.

Nobody gave him any sympathy whatsoever. It made him a laughing stock.

Wlad was open for a left hook to the body many times in that fight. And I don't think Haye even attempted to throw one.

How about Haye VS Otis Grant?

    Haye VS Brian Barbosa?

    Haye VS Antwun Echols?

    Haye VS Robert Allen?

Or how about we do a P4P VS by putting the fighters at the same height and weight.

Haye VS Otis Grant : Otis wins.

Haye VS Barbosa : Dificult to predict, edge would have to go to Haye.

Haye VS Echols : Echols wins.

Haye VS Robert Allen : Very dificult to predict I'm not sure really.

And what about a RJJ VS Haye P4P fight : Roy Jones has a fieldday.

Now............. what if we had comfortable 210 pound figthers vs a natural 170 pound Haye?

    Otis wins by ko.
Barbosa wins by brutal Ko in one of the earlier rounds.
    Echols wins by ko.
    Allen wins by decision.
RJJ wins by first round Ko.

So there we have it, size really does make a difference. Thanks for pointing that out to us Itsa.

Hey! how would a natural 220 pound Hatton done against a natural 120 pound RJJ? That would have been a MASSACRE.

And I forgot to mention that I'd ofcourse favor the 220 pound Hatton in that fight.

Current RJJ vs “Broken Toe” David Haye that fought Wlad?

RJJ UD or brutal late stoppage. “Ahhh my Toe!!” “Roy stop!!”

Hate 's lousy foot work is the reason he was always out of position everyone he did his little punch and jump. Manny Stew**** even eluded to it

Tens of thousands of people buying a PPV, thousands of people showing up at the place to watch the fight live. Really really good idea to show up with a disadvantage that will make you unable to compete for such an event.

Yeah but what would have happened had Haye pulled out? Would Wlad have ever gave Haye another shot at that title? It took years for Haye to get that title shot. I think the reason he went through to the fight is he knew that this was his one and only chance to fight Wlad. Even with a badly broken toe to where he could barely walk, he still went through with the fight not wanting to be the guy who pulled out of the biggest fight of his life. As a result he’s known as the guy who had a broken toe in the biggest fight of his life.

Since then Haye has pulled out of fights and got berated for that. Tyson Fury said he won’t even fight Haye due to his pulling out in their previously scheduled fight before Fury won the title from Wlad.

Jones chin was iron before moving back down to LHW.

Your punch resistance dramatically diminishes after losing muscle to go down in weight.

Chambers and Dawson's chin were iron until they moved down and lost a lot of muscle in a short period of time.

I have always felt Roy's chin was much better in his prime, but to say it was iron is not correct to me.. That term should be reserved for fighters that can take multiple clean shots from a savage puncher and stay on their feet.

Roy never proved he could do that.

Roy would likely fight very cautiously and win a UD. Haye didn't have the best chin or stamina, but Roy will fight cautiously and at a measured pace. I don't know exactly how hard he hits at HW either. He did manage to rock Ruiz and break his nose for what it's worth. My guess is RJJ had decent power at HW.

Haye has a chance to take Roy out with that powerful fast right hand. Jones will obviously be looking for that and not give Haye many chances. Besides that, Haye's chances aren't too good, even with a size advantage. Roy was eons better than the insanely overrated Haye. Haye's defense was only good when it came at the expense of his offense. Sloppy and wild as **** with his combos, which is why his vaunted hand speed is so overrated. It was limited to single punches. Fighters with great hand speed should have the speed for both single shots AND combinations. His combos were not fluid nor fast. Combination punching is about creating and exploiting openings, and his was far behind Jones's. Four consecutive rabbit punches is not a good combo.
