Is it just me or is the media not really picking up on this fight? Also the British media and press have a habit of ignoring good and exciting fighters, I mean where is the massive coverage from the U.K for Haye? This is the biggest and most exciting heavyweight fight I can remember! With Haye as the underdog again it is/should be the biggest fight this year, but we are still talking about Hatton and Khan. For some reason the U.K does not like a genuine confident and successful fighter! If Haye was American you would see the difference in promotion for him and support, he would be on HBO. Why is'nt he on HBO?! He is more interesting and explosive than 99 per cent of the rest of them on there!

    What say you?

If he was a Sky Sports fighter he'd have a hell of alot more coverage in the UK. Hatton and Khan are always on SSNews, which is worth its weight in gold.

    This fight is on HBO!

Now if you're talking about before this fight.. when the hell did Haye earn an HBO spot? He didn't become a real star until he beat Mormeck and Enzo. Since then .. who has he fought? Monte Barrett? Gimme a break..

Might not be a biggest name but he is an exiting fighter, and the fight is for the HW belt.

biggest HW fight you can remember? How old are you, ten?
It's been a down number of years, but Lewis-VKlit was 6 years ago.

this is a "big" fight because there's nothing else out there in the division.

it's the best we have at the moment. And i'm looking forward to it, but it's a flawed champion vs a CW knockout artist, relatively untested at HW. Not going to garner much interest in the US.

Either way it goes I think you will see it will be a big fight and yeah this is the biggest fight in the heavy's I can remember cos it's been that bad since Lewis vs Vitali and even then it was boring. By the way I am 34.

Haye is on HBO but noas the main attraction and ppv, etc, you know what I mean. so yeah he does deserve to be on HBO, look at the punks they put on there?! He could have been on the rising stars type docus or on Ring Life?

It's all and well saying the fight has sold so much but there are people in the U.K. and U.S who still do not know who they are and it is happening and that aint all their fault.

I'm pretty sure the fight will get a lot of media attention in the UK as we get nearer to fight night, with there being a lot of coverage the weekend of the fight.

We're still a ways out from fight night at the moment though.

Lewis vs VKlit wasn't marketed as a huge event. In fact it was suppose to be an average fight which happened to turn into a slugfest. Haye vs Wlad is a much bigger event in terms of marketing and promotion. That said, you are right when you say that the fight is only big because of the era that we are in.

it certainly wasn't a massive fight, but Lewis was a big time champ, it was the follow up to his biggest fight and it certainly was a bigger fight in the US than this will be...for one thing, it was in the US.

There's not much media attention for this fight in the US, but it has gotten a little attention on ESPN shows.
