David Haye has held talks to defend his world heavyweight title in an £80million dust-up in the desert.

He wants to put his WBA belt on the line in Abu Dhabi in a unification battle against Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko.

Haye, 29, who battered John Ruiz in his first title defence on Saturday, said: 'It's something we have talked about.

'There's not been a big title fight in the Middle East. Look at the Rumble in the Jungle. No one had ever heard of Zaire until then. After Muhammad Ali fought George Foreman, no one forgets it.'

You get jailed for a month for kissing in the street in that god forsaken land.

10,000 drunken Brits travelling would result in carnage, and probably about 5,000 arrests.

Another big fight in the UAE?

Who can forget the classics that were Hatton v Mayweather in Dubai, DLH v Everyone in the Middle East....

doesn't even matter. you can be having a nice cup of relaxing tea, and then some drunk idiots come in and, and before you know it you're banged up for just being there at the wrong place at the wrong time. **** that. i'll prefer to watch it in england, atleast then we can get pissed up and do a bit more before we get banged up.

it ll never happen. as much as UA would love to become a cultural capital- the place is just dull as, and unattractive for tourists . theyd have to invest some serious coin to ge the purse bid, then lift some of their laws - who would want to go to dubai- where women have to wear burkas, instead of vegas- where women ....well....we all know what vegas women are like. not even close.

I live in the much more liberal emirate of Dubai, it is a fantastic place to be and Abu Dhabi is about an hour's drive away. The UAE is not as strict as the media sometimes like to make out. I have seen/been in numerous incidences where there are drunken (being drunk in public is illegal in the UAE, along with the act of drinking itself) people falling out of hotel pubs and clubs, police are never too far away but they usually just watch and as long as you don't cause trouble you're okay. The main difference I find between the UAE and the West is that the penalties for petty stuff is stricter. For example, a friend of mine was imprisoned for 14 days for swearing at a taxi driver who was taking him home from a night out. The taxi driver took him straight to the station!
