I didn't say they were poor, you did. I said even they have been hit by problems in the real estate market. The ADIA fund is usually valued at $800 billion, and while it is a lot of money I don't see them wasting $120 million just to put on a fight.

yes fights are there. We almost went there for a fight, can remember with who, but at the last minute the funds fell through so Wlad went back to Germany

I'd have to think that somewhere they would have some accountants crunching numbers and they know what the event is worth. I don't think they would be doing this just to line Haye's pockets FFS.

Frankly the same people that built the Burj don't inspire much confidence when it comes to fiscal responsiblity. Virtually every project put together in the Emirates in the last 10 years has been a prestige project, not geared towards true economic success, but able to be done due to oil money. However, none of these projects is really feasable. That said, they aren't wasting money on this fight. Maybe something like 25 or 30 million, but 120 million is mental.

One thing that Donald Trump has gotten a free pass on is something that happened years ago. When he built his gambling joint his chief accountant told him the numbers just didn't work. You know what Trump told him don't you? "You're fired". :rofl

I can't believe the networks didn't dig up that footage of this axehat bragging about firing the guy when the place went belly up. :patsch

    What do you mean?
Burj DUBAI and the prestige projects you are referring to were in DUBAI. Not Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi has some prestige type developments, but economic concerns and practicality are paramount there.

And why is the Burj now named after the head of Abu Dhabi? Because its debt was purchased by them. Look, Abu Dhabi is, without a doubt, better run than Dubai. That doesn't change the fact the projects both emirates have embarked on are not fiscally responsible. If you really want to argue that Saadiyat Island, at $18 billion makes more sense then a $10 billion mix use project in Moscow by all means go ahead, but one city is a major business city and the heart of one of the 10 largest economies while the other is the capital of a state dependent on oil. AIDA isn't rich because of what they have built, they are rich because of oil and being able to invest in other people's work.

I am one who thinks Haye should not fight the Klitchkos so soon. He is not ready. With Ruiz his defense was not great. He cannot beat the Klitchko's now, but if he gets 5-10 more fights he can become more economical and more defensive and set up his right hand to the head with body punches, all the things he is not doing well yet.
