It's taken me 3hrs to log on this morning and write a ****'n comment, get your act together ESB. Anyway my feed kept dropping in and out, but saw enough to justify my bet Klit on points...... easy money. Seriously the amount of people on here thinking Haye could win was amusing, It's like they've never watched boxing
Horrible fight... both were bad, Wladimir was better. I was begging for either to take me out of my misery from about the 7th onwards. Wladimir's jab was impressive, I just wish he'd throw his right hand more than 5 times a fight. You can tell he absolutely detests the engagement and it impedes on his offence. Emanuel Steward was begging him to commit to his punches and he just wouldn't do it. He'd have gotten Haye out of there if he did. Haye looked sharp early doors but was nowhere near busy enough. Didn't hear any of Adam Booth between rounds, but his workrate was non-existant. It'll be a ****in long time before I buy another Heavyweight fight, that's for sure. How I miss the days of Holyfield, Bowe, Foreman, Tyson, Lewis, Morrison etc etc
You're a hard man to please Ippster. I thought the fight was excellent by todays heavyweight standards. Both were in top shape, neither gassed half way through, both looked sharp, and there was no holding and wrestling. Wlad was just the bigger and better fighter. Th only downer (pun intended :yep) was Haye dropping to the deck every round or so. His little whine at the end about his toe was a bit of a joke too, but he did ok given how good Wlad is. I did think Wlad would have him out of there within the distance, but i guess winning pretty much a shutout is ok too.
You might be right about that, by today's standards it was good. Shows how far the division has slipped in 10 years.
