The pressure is on WBA to make it happen especially after Valuev-Chagaev debacle. If they strip Chagaev of #1 it will be legal and PR disaster for WBA. I think they will present Haye with a choice to go for unification or face Chagaev outside UK.

No one wants to see that, a one sided mauling of Chagaev isnt an exciting prospect.

The funny thing even Chagaev in its current form is a step-up for Haye. He is looking at a fight with a dangerous opponent outside of US with expectations that he beats him easily. I say he needs Klitschko deal more than ever.

if it is held in a football stadium, the money made could be very good. and also if he takes a fixed free to air deal.

highly unlikely. no way will they force their own champ to fight outside of his country. isn't plausible. the fight will only happen if haye wnats it to happen IMO

these klit boys need to act like promotors

they even try to not pay for accomodation and medicals to their opponents they promote thats lower than any other promotor out there, these are standard promotion expenses

thats really putting boxing in the gutter

now they seem obsessed with UK tv money

Seriously I think hayes the coward in all this but the klits are miserable to the extreme why are they like this

that was for not fighting valuev, and not being active. haye is active, the wbs will not strip him if he chooses not to fight outside of england. not a chance.

you can disagree if you must but only time will tell.

It is reasonable to ask for half of it, when a K Bro being the opponent will boost the PPV income to at least double what it was for Harrison/Haye.

If universum wins the purse bid Haye will have no choice. If it goes the other way then it will get really hairy. If Haye's camp fails to make the fight (because of UK rules) WBA may decide to go back to the second best bid (universum) so there.

Contrast Haye with small HW Eddie Chambers. Chambers has fought Povetkin, Peters, Dimitrenko and Wlad + a few others in the last two odd years. This trumps Haye's opposition IMO, but Haye has generated no end of pages on this site endlessly.

Haye no doubt has qualities, but his boxing career has turned into a soap opera.

For all the saga, he's fought once in 2009 against Valuev and twice in 2010 against a faded Ruiz and Audley. And out of that he's generated a lot of publicity and a million threads on here.

Haye wants to cash in for the most he can get and that's understandable but he's increasingly pushing his luck. He's starting to look like he might be doing an Audley building up expectations that he needs to deliver on at some point.

The tone of the conversation about Haye is increasingly turning towards the 'ok, just get on with it' line. Personally, I don't care what he fuc*ing does as long as he fights someone other than Valuev sooner rather than lately. He can't get away with fighting another Audley or even someone outside the top tier. Unfortunately he will probably end up fighting Valuev again or taking an 8 month break.
