Haye vs Macca at 210lbs

Name me one fighter who owns a portion of the world title and dosnt think he's the best. If you dont think your the best your not cut out for the sport.

To be fair Enzo clearly wants the fight with Haye, he also wants fights with the other top guys... its someone else not puting the money up, or terms down, that aint making it happen.

He's suffering what joe Calzaghe & ricky hatton suffered from for years.

 

How do you figure?

He aint gonna vacate his Warren Boxing Organisation belt, and unification is unlikely. Particularly because whoever wins the WBA/WBC/IBF belts are gonna be decent guys, Warren aint gonna let Macca near them. Guys like Mormeck, Bell, Huck, Cunningham, Adamek etc.

 

All Enzo said on Setanta is that him, Cunningham and Haye all think they are the best and he'd like the fights to happen see who it is. Can't say fairer than that. Rather than boastfull its pretty understated if anything.

He's a big name Warren fighter so he gets more **** than he usually would, like the other fighters you mentioned.

 

warren won't put macca in with anyone good unless he's guaranteed a big payday....and there aren't any top cruiserweights who would bring enough reputation for warren's patented risk-reward balancing mechanism

 

To be fair to Macca, I don't blame him for not wanting to fight Haye at heavyweight. He's not really a true 200lb fighter (he's a little too big for 175lbs though - basically in no-mans-land. Like Braithwaite). He doesn't stand a chance of being effective at 210lbs.

 

Enzo is just not special. Decent, but overrated power in my opinion. I have never seen anything about him to suggest he would beat Haye, he would have a puncher's chance, that's all.
Haye's chin may not be made of granite, but at least he didn't get stopped by Lee Swaby.

 

I'd make Enzo the underdog fighting Haye at Cruiser but I think a very "live" one...Haye holds that left low and Enzos big punch is the right cross....

 

Instead of facing Haye, I reckon Enzo will wait until David is too well established at heavyweight for a fight to happen. A faded Mormeck at the end of his career will be wheeled in as a "live" opponent for Enzo to beat up on Then Enzo will claim how lucky David Haye was that they never fought.

 

Being drunk at 3am the previous night may have had something to do with that performance :think

 

I think thats a fairly accurate assesment of the fight.Haye is primarily a front runner.But if the fight happens at heavy he does have the advantage of not having to kill himself to make weight.Thus we could see better increases in his stamina aswell as his chin but thats merely conjecture.Haye still doesnt seem to know how to raise his left to defend the over hand or straight right.If Mormeck can hit him with lead rights Enzo will put him to sleep thats a certainty. Enzo isnt the most talented guy but he has world class power and is equally as big a puncher as Haye.His stamina is good and his chin has been checked and his been found worthy.He may not have the natural talents that Haye possess`s but he works extremely hard and has the boxing fundamentals that Haye lacks.My money would be on Enzo by early KO.

 

If that's true then he's had one hell of a long hangover.

 

Haye's much better ko percentage against much better opposition suggests otherwise?

 

Lee Swaby is a early career 'freebie' IMHO. Enzo ****ed up and paid for it but I don't think that fight has any bearing on his future career.
