Neither known for great whiskers. Haye is a better boxer, in my opinion, and Morrison is a bigger guy, probably stronger. Haye likes to counter off the back foot, he would have a good chance to catch Tommy with a bomb and that should do it. Morrison could stop Haye though, if he could get to him early, and he had fast hands and a great hook. Going to pick Haye countering a Morrison bomb with a great shot, and Morrison getting caught a la his fight with Bentt. Of course, if Tommy gets to Haye, then it is pretty much goodnight for the Hayemaker, as he wouldn't have the resiliance of someone like Mercer to weather the storm and then come back.
A 50/50 fight. Hard to judge Haye as he has not fought as often, nor as many tough fighters. Whereas Morrison fought over 50 fights, against a tough fighters. In fighting so many fights, Morrison got a chance to show his warts and weaknesses.
Yeah Tommy got off the canvas and weathered the storm to win some good fights, and was the naturally bigger and stronger man. The Michael Bentt fight is my one hold up in favoring him completely though.. Like you said, probably a 50/50 fight.
Morrison lays Haye out cold. Absolutely annihilates him. The left hook was a weakness for Haye. Chisora rocked Haye with a left hook and the round had to be ended early. Hayes chin was bellow average . He was dropped hard by Lock a super middle weight. He's getting hit by a Morrison hook. No two ways about it and when he does its lights out. Haye never beat anybody as good as Morrison. People don't realize or forget that Morrisons left hook was one of the best and most powerful the division had ever seen.
Haye is just a classier fighter. Morrison would have a snowball's chance in hell of running through Haye's line-up at heavyweight with consistent results nor would he last the distance against prime Wlad (see Lewis fight). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Haye wouldn't have been ranked if he was around in the 90's. He achieved nothing nothing in the worst HW era known to man.
Francois Botha and Axel Schultz fought for the championship in that era. Haye's wins over Valuev and Ruiz are better than both Franny and Axelzander's careers combined. (See what I did there?)
Haye by knockout inside 5 rounds. The much faster, straighter more precise punches that Haye throws would find the mark on his defensively inept fragile opponent.
Great fight!!! Who was a better HW? Haye TM was inconsistent, but the TM who fought Mercer was the best version and that version I'd slightly favor over Haye.
