Agreed with nick get him back early. I said on another thread he could easily fight next week he didn't get hit once
I didn't expect him to face anyone decent in his next fight anyway so it isn't much of a surprise he could be looking to dig up and old heavyweight like Peter. Haye has been inactive for years and his last fight was barely a fight so he needs at least another tune up before stepping in the ring with anyone decent. As he's ranked by the WBA and likely to be going down that route to an easy title it wouldn't shock me to see him try and fight Briggs as well as that could raise his ranking in to a possible mandatory shot later down the line.
He should fight John Wyborn. http://boxrec.com/boxer/19364 They both have a KO1 against De Mori.
If Sam Peter doesn't agree to the fight, it will be one of the following : Ike Ibeaubuchi Razor Ruddock Mickey Rourke Frans Botha
Terrible choice, this match is actually dangerous for Peter at this point, Haye is in all likelihood a far harder puncher than Helenius and look what he did to him, this will end up another Enzo Mac/RJJ debacle.
Probably the most sensible point thus far. No-one needs to see another sub-par opponent on the oxygen after getting a shocking KO. Haye could realistically fight whoever he wants for another couple of fights and still be credible. what's important is that he looks convincing in 2 more fights this year and has a legit title shot with an entertaining fight!:good
To be honest I think he's just in it for as much money as possible so fighting people with a ranking isn't as appealing to him as fighting a 'name' that will bring him more dough As long as he keeps knocking folk out, regardless if they are sub standard or shot to pieces, he keeps in the public eye and bags a big money fight with AJ
