According the the scene if Chagaev is rejected (decision made this week) Haye will fight WBA no.2 Alexander Povetkin at the 02 May 21st. A good fight and one of the better ones that can be made at Heavyweight but a bit of a joke when you consider both mens hostory with the Brothers.

At least hes fighting someone undefeated and under 35 years of age (clutching at straws)

I wonder if he takes Povetkin out early without shipping many digs will he be available for July 2nd?

    I doubt it

It's a fight undermined by the fact that Povetkin ducked out of fighting Wlad, but Povetkin is top 5 in the division, undefeated and outside of the Klits who else is there other than Solis and Adamek who are both tied up.

Adamek is way overrated imo, he's not a genuine heavyweight, he beat arreola who had already been savagely beaten by Vitali but apart from that he's fought even worse opponents than Haye...He'll get battered by either Klitschko.

i dont mind this fight really, obviously hoping for a klitschko but other than the brothers fights with povetkin, solis, adamek are the next best thing.

agreed on adamek vs a klitschko though, the man can put some lovely combos together but i just think hes too small an will be on the end of a jab all night.

i wouldnt have minded seeing haye fight arreola.

Why would Povetkin avoid Wladimir Klitschko for 2 years and then sign to fight David Haye.. over here where Haye gets all the advantages?

Seems strange to me but who else is there for either of them?

teddy atlas said that on friday night fights. he believes that povetkin is ready for haye but not the klitchkos.

biggest fight between haye and povetkin could be getting them both to sign up for the fight

It's a pretty good fight. End of the day Povetkin is unbeaten, olympic gold medalist (and hasn't been a joker in the pros like Audley), its a viable fight.

He has looked shite recently though, they wasted his best years.

The best fight that can be made for Haye for that date imo.The best we can hope for if he does retire in October is Potetkin in May and the Klit which doesn`t fight Adamek in september or october (unlikely i know)

It's the best option for Haye after Adamek/Klitschko.

decent fight, actually. not a brother but more meaningful than chagaev.
