Probably for the best that you didn't try to defend that ridiculous statement of yours.

Saying Povetkin is a better boxer is like saying apples are better than oranges. Povetkin is slightly more measured, better balance and puts his punches together well. However he has a **** poor defence, his feet are slow, doesn't pack a great deal of power, his hands aren't quick and he is only happy when he is commanding the ring coming forward.

Haye has quicker hands, better jab (when he chooses to use it), better timing, better movement of both feet and upper body, good counterpuncher who can fight going forwards or backwards. However has **** poor balance, regularly over extends with punches, can become punch shy when the opening's don't appear and he doesn't feint enough.

Neither are great boxers but both good at different aspects of the game and i find it hard to see how you can say how either is a better technician than the other as being a good boxer covers a wide range of areas and both are boxers but with very different skill sets. S'pose it comes down to whjat you prefer to see in a boxer.

With Hayes speed and timing i personally think he has the beating of Povetkin. However i can see the argument that Povetkins pressure combined with his cobination punching will be more than enough to keep Haye honest and possibly lead to a Povetkin stoppage win.

Could be a real 50/50 fight although because of Hayes power, speed and timing and Povetkins inate ability to walk in with no head movement i see Haye rocking him a lot more than Huck did.

Ruiz wasn't much worse than Povetkin IMO, just alot less protected.

And I'd put my money on a Haye Ko later on in the fight.

    povetkin is kinda adaptive.

Haye really only has 1 punch to worry about.

This is my biggest problem with ESB... generic blanket statements of s'posed fact which are infact just someones opinion.

If you're going to make a statement like this... at least try to back it up with some sort of proof to backup your opinion. Don't **** on us and tell us it's raining.

Would that version of Ruiz have been bullied by Marco Huck??? i very much doubt it

A ****** who posted a bunch of BS in this same thread now asking for a serious discussion, comedy :rofl:rofl

Enlighten us as to how the Ruiz who had lost 3 of his 6 last fights prior to facing Haye, and hadnt beaten a single top HW for a long time is better than Povetkin who has beaten several RING ranked HWs during the same period :hi:

with no knockout power your always going to struggle with ruiz..he has the worst style in the sport to fight..hes a heavyweight version of hopkins ffs man..chagaev may be riddled.but hes still a skilled boxer..plus povotkin hasnt been in shape for quite sometime now..which if it keeps up then id say haye knocks him out..an in shape povotkin causes haye fits...
