...I really enjoyed the production and so did everyone at my local pub. The big screen behind the fighters was cool.

Haye also never LET Ruiz hold. All the heavies moaning about Ruiz holding were too **** to do anything about it. Haye punched and pushed his way out when Ruiz was trying to hold him. Ruiz simply got busted up. Good on David for doing that cos it's those sort of things that make a fight boring.

They did that for Khan and Salita as well. But Saturday they seemed to work it better...maybe because Ruiz took his time to get to ring and Haye is better at working crowd then anyone in Britain today. I used to love the screen behind the fighters back in 90's nice to see there using them again.

yeah, he came out to that and i think ruiz came out to fire and explosions. it was great.

boxing has never (recently) been considered a consistent sport to follow because there is no real league and consistent fights every week. every time someone watches a fight, even if it is a fighters 10th title defence, it is an EVENT.

boxing should ALWAYS be an EVENT! Fireworks, music, pyros, big screens, hard fights, ring card girls, the whole lot.

:deal Part of reason i fell in love with sport as a kid and you always dream if you've boxed or wanted to box of coming out in big arena with music pumping fans cheering or booing. It makes the fight so much better and gets fans going.

On another postitive note, Haye completely dominated a former 2 time World champion.

I think Haye is in a no-win situation whatever happens now. The only reason he got to this stage as quickly as he did was because he was extremely marketable. He talked a lot, and that coupled with his in-ring ability got him to the Heavyweight title fairly quickly. That's a credit to the man, but because he's so confident and brash, people seem to view a good performance as lackluster if only because he was tagged a handful of times by good contenders. Sparring a few shots, some missed flurries, and Haye being off balance, Ruiz was completely dominated.

Incidentially, those who have come out and criticized Haye's performance are more often than not who predicted him to get knocked out many fights ago.

I actually wanted to see Ruiz start holding after a few rounds, just to see how Haye responds when his gameplan is interrupted. I think Ruiz made a mistake to try and box Haye, he should have made it as dirty as possible

    I hear you, Squire.

I remember when Khan fought Prescott. I was hoping Khan would have to take a shot just to redeem himself and shut up his critics...but then it happened.
