Unfortunately you're probably right, he'll probably get KOed by Haye but I'd love to see how the loudmouth does against a Klitschko, Chambers, Tua, Povetkin, or Arreola.
Where's the option for Haye calling in sick? No, I'm just kidding, he's going to murder Ruiz - - though I would like him to balls up again, as I thought he did when he had the three fights lined up with the Klitzscho brothers (yes, I know this is a mandatory defense), and fight Adamek after this or possibly Povetkin or even Areola. But, not looking past Ruiz, I say he wins this, hopefully with a little more zing than Valuev.
The only big punchers I can think of off he top of my head that Ruiz fought since Tua are Rahman and Golota, Rahman showed up so fat that he'd embarrass Hatton and Golota was a bit passed it. I think Haye will knock him out myself, Ruiz isn't hard to hit and we know he can be hurt. If Jones can wobble him Haye certainly can and he's a good finisher.
it is a very boring fight, but from David Haye's perspective it is a great fight. If he wins, he gets experience and will probably go another 12 rounds, and for a guy who is just starting in the heavyweight division, that experience will help him more than a quick knockout. This fight might help him be a better fighter.
