Apparantly frank warren has offered Haye 600k for a fight with Matt Skelton.

I gotta be honest , i think that would be a good first fight for haye , skeltons competive , never been stopped , hes apparantly ranked higher that rahman and hes not exactly the hardest hitting heavyweight!!

He took chagaev all the way and if haye were to stop him people would surely take notice!

Something tells me Warren is tryin to set up a heavyweight double bill late in the year with this and harrison vs peter! watch this space.......

Skelton is not a weak hitter, he has been known as a powerful puncher, but I agree it would be a good first fight. Skelton comes to fight and it give an honest assesment of how well Hayes can compete at HW

his ko record is decieving. he kod a lot of bums in his early days but against danny williams and chagaev he didnt budge them!! put it this way he doesnt hit as hard as briggs , rahman , wlad , povtikin , tua ets...

I like the way Haye talks **** about how he's going to obliterate a top 10 HW & then he's fighting either Rahman or Skelton :rofl

Since when is either a top 10 ranked HW?

Rahman is ranked #3 by the IBF & #4 by the WBC. That's ridiculous.................Skelton isn't ranked in the top 10 of any.

You'd be surprised. These guys fight for money, and if the money is right I think any of them other than #1 contenders/mandatories would entertain a fight against Haye.

I saw that on Warren's site, I checked somw independent rankings and Skelton is nowhere to be seen. Having said that I think it's a decent fight to make.

i think this would be a good 1st for haye but.... skelton is a horrible man to fight and look good against he has a habbit of turning fights into snore fests and if haye didnt get him out of there(which i imagine he would if he connected clean) it cud turn out to be a nightmare of a 1st fight when he is trying to make an impression on the HW division, even tho he wud get the win

No guarantees on that. Skelton is a good 50 or 60Lbs heavier than the Crusierweights Haye has been knocking out.

Pounds, worth about 2.5 to the dollar last time I checked. Roughly a Million & a Half. Needless to say he's a ***** if he doesn't take it. There's no way a Rahman fight is worth that much cash.
