Right now at heavy. Say after Haye beats mormeck, who takes this?

Solis beat him in world amateur final, but got knocked down in the process in a complete war, at least for amatuer standards.

I dont know about that i was there when they fought.Solis was toying with Haye had him backed to the ropes.Haye dropped his head closed his eyes (i swear i saw him do it) and threw a big swinging slap.Solis walked right into it with his hands down and caught it flush on the jaw.
Got up looked real pissed off. and went to run straight into haye but the bell ended the first round. For the following 2 and a half minutes it lasted solis gave haye a fine beating bringing on 3 standing counts. And showing his complete domination and disregard for hayes power.

In 12 rounds, Haye weathers an early storm and coasts to a wide unanimous decision. Solis just doesn't have the endurance to go 12 at the moment.

I'd say Haye right now based on his higher quality of opposition and experience at the championship level if he beats Mormeck. But I have to remember that he has fought at cruiserweight and Solis would not be a pushover.

If you were there, you'd surely remember it a bit better than that?

Haye dominated the first round, however he didn't knock Solis down, it was only a standing count. I can't remember the exact scores but Haye was well up. He certainly wasn't on the ropes, swinging blindly.

Solis then came out and proceeded to do to Haye over the next 2 rounds what had been done to him in the first. Neither fighter left their feet and Solis won cleanly and clearly. I believe it's on YouTube if you want to see for yourself.

Right now however, Solis is carrying a few stone in fat, hasn't had the experience at pro level nor shown he can go 12. Haye wins easily but in a few years it'll be much more interesting.

You've got a serious chip on your shoulder after that tongue in cheek comment Haye made about Eastern Europeans. Let it go, mate.

Haye did NOT knock Solis down. Solis got a standing 8 count, he wasn't on the floor.

BTW bright idea, Haye is a pro since 2002 and was already exposed in the process, Solis is fat, had only 4 pro fights and hasn't fought more than 4 rounds... Yeah, right now I go with Haye, but surely not because he is better than Solis, he is not.

Well judging from that it seemed like a close fight. Haye did very well at first, but Solis's superior experience and speed won him the fight. Haye has the advantage in power though, no doubt.

Who would win now? Well think of this. David Haye was 19 when he fought then, and in the last 8 years has improved considerably. He's much bigger, much more experienced, he's shared the ring with some quality fighters and destroyed most of them brutally. Solis on the otherhand is getting old, is very overweight, and probably spent his peak years in the amatuers. If a teenager version of David Haye can wobble the peak version of Solis, then how does a prime David Haye lose against an aging, overweight and totally past his best version of Solis?

Haye by KO. Out of interest, who does the board think is most likely to be the first Cuban heavyweight champion? Juan Carlos Gomez or Oliender Solis?

Dude, Solis is only 6 months older than Haye. If he's old, then Haye is as well.
