after seeing Haye's garbage performance against a HW who isn't old and completely irrelevant, i don't think that he can get past any of the decent HW contenders out there. i think he gets easily decisioned by eddie chambers and i don't think he lasts 6 rounds against arreola without getting brutally knocked out. adamek should completely outbox/outclass him as well.

basically, anyone with a decent chin and boxing skills mops the floor with this guy. he's wild, has very poor footwork, and really no strategy other than throwing wild bombs and praying something lands. he needs to move back to cruiserweight. there's no way he ever becomes relevant at HW again.

    what do you think, ESB?

I agree. I still have Haye as Top 3-4.
Just because the #1 Heavyweight in the world beat him, doesn't mean he needs to go back to Cruiser, lol.

Personally, i think David Haye KO's Arreola and Adamek, Chambers fight might be more difficult...

..and of course Helenius KO Haye

So his atleast very decent heavyweight

but he hasn't shown he can be effective against anyone relevant. you really think this guy can compete with the other solid competition in the division? he certainly has no shot at a title now that the klitschkos have locked them up. the only way he gets a title is going back to CW.

haye can land a lucky punch against anyone, i just don't think he has any other shot but that and that isn't good enough against anyone who can box and has solid power. i think arreola treats him like any other bum he's knocked out brutally lately.

adamek, arreola, and chambers are all good boxers with very good chins. haye's gonna have to do more than run at these guys with wide overhand rights to get anything done. i just don't think he can compete with any good technical boxers that have good chins.

That may be true and its no idea to try against Vitali unless he wants to go down by a brutal KO

I said this two years ago and I would still pick Chambers, Chagaev and Povetkins over Haye.

Haye and Chambers is an interesting match up, I think it goes to points but it goes either way really. as for Arreola Haye would UD him all day long and dont think the nightmare can get anywhere close to landing anything significant.

I have Haye at about 3 or 4 depending on what Adamek does to Klitschko if he can last the distance it will be an achievement on its own considering he started at 175

Personally, I don't see how he can be ranked anywhere higher than 4. The Klits and Adamek all deserve to be ranked ahead of him.

And I think you can make cases for Helenius, Chambers, Solis, Thompson and Povetkin to be ranked higher than Haye at this point.

Haye had the air of invincibility around him from his rise up from cruiserweight, his big mouth, and limited heavyweight success.

Now that the aura around him is gone, you really need to look at his record and decide, honestly, what at heavyweight has he really beaten to still make him a top 5 heavyweight? The ONLY guys you can make a case for are Valuev and Ruiz. And I'm not even sure I'd make a case for Ruiz as a quality guy at the time he fought him.

Helenius and Povetkin are undefeated. You can make cases for them.
Thompson has only lost to Wlad too over the past 10 years. And Chambers has only lost to Povetkin and Wlad.
Solis has only lost to Vitali and injury played a big part in that.

Now can Haye beat some of those guys? Absolutely. But, that doesn't mean he either will or deserves to be ranked ahead of all of them.

Haye hasn't done anything to prove me otherwise.
