Haye Vs The wlad of tonight

That's BS. Watch the fight again - Chag slips Wlads jab al night long, opens him up and does absolutely nothing. If chag can slip the jab so can Haye, and when he does it's mister chin meet mister left hand and goodnight vienna for Wlad.

 

Haye cannot only slip the jab, but he can effectively counter. Would it be simple? Of course not because Wlad is cautious and that good. But he has a completely different style than Chagaev, and honestly I feel he would knock him out.

He has the speed to counter Wlad even when Wlad doesn't overextend, but if Wlad takes any risks, it just increases the chances of a KO.

 

Wouldn't worry much about Wlad tonight.

 

Exactly. Haye would have been destroyed by Wlad. People don't seem to realize that if you can't take punches too well in the lighter divisions, your chin isn't gonna suddenly get better at HW!

Jim Watt made a good point on Sky last night about Wlad looking terrified of getting hit. Wlad was great last night. Chagaev offered less than I was expecting though. If Haye can get inside early, (I realise that's a big if) there might be a result in his favour. I think if Haye beats Wlad then Vitali wipes the floor with him. Wlad isn't half as good as is brother. I've not always been impressed with Wlad but last night showed me that up to a point I have been wrong about him.

 

how do you set the tempo with a guy who holds the centre of the ring and use's his jab evreysecond in your face, Wlad does deserve respect in the ring, any fighter who runs in there careless giving him no respect will get KO'd he is to accurate, Chagaev fights straight forward , he was way off on weight and height disadvantage, im surprised he lasted till the 9th, n no way he could of lasted 20 rounds , Wlad hardly took a deep breath , it was like hitting a heavybag for 9 rounds in training. no respect for covering up and not doing anything in the fight.

 

i use to be a big haye fan and still enjoy watching him fight, and made evrey excuse in the book that wlad would get beat, but that wlad in there looks so strong in attack , Haye would hardly last 2 rounds, he needs to be something special to do it, who knows maybe we will see soon

Unbelievable BS. Chagaev ate a lote more jabs than the few he slipped. He got inside maybe five times in the whole fight and then couldn't do anything because Wlad tied him up effectively. Chagaev was really game mentally, if there had been an opportunity to land good punches, he would have used it.

Wlad is better in every category than Haye. He was very fast last night, against a fighter who, unlike Haye, has used speed effectively to beat bigger men throughout his career.
