Haye vs Tua

The question is Haye vs Tua now, not prime for prime.

Tua was inactive for 2 years and he is almost 37. Even in the past he often had to lose round after round before landing the final punch (Nicholson, Oquendo). Today he may have problems even with that (I mean with landing punches, not losing rounds).

 

I would still pick Tua.

 

Any version of Tua KO's Haye.

 

Yeah, Haye is a creation of pure hype. Haye has refused to fight a top ten heavyweight for a very good reason.

 

No idea what Tua has left today.

Prime (or near prime) Tua vs DH? You've got to be kidding me

Tua would destroy Haye :dead Early, mid, late rounds - take your pick.

 

Haye was knocked out by an old over-the-hill cruiserweight and Solis stopped him in amateurs.

 

Prime Tua eats Haye for breakfast by the third round. THIS Tua probably just watches him step around him and eats jabs til the final bell.

 

How did Haye get so hyped?

 

He challenged and ran some good trash talk vs the K bros. That alone will give some fight fans a woody :yep

As a HW I can't think of any other reason - and I'm not that hard on DH (if you read my posts about his chances vs WK). It's obvious DH or his handlers want to avoid any legit top 10 type HW comp, and go straight for a big money fight vs one of the K bros.
