Even if this is true, theres no way back for Haye, he seems to have lost all credibility even though i feel he could dominate the heavyweight division!

Alright you bunch of ******s (except a couple of you), read the interview in question before you jump to conclusions:

The bout between David Haye and Nikolai Valuev may be cancelled. The

The thing is Ruiz is the official challenger for the WBA world champion title and initially we had planned the bout with him. But as Nikolai had already fought this American boxer and won, his promoters decided to look for another opponent for a change. And now they must ask Ruiz to give away his title bout with Valuev, because in other case his November bout with Haye may be cancelled.

    The situation is unfathomable. And

. And now we can’t understand what we should do. Should we start preparations for the bout with Ruiz? Or for the bout with Haye? Or just to sit and wait when the next opponent is finally named officially. The situation has to get clear within the next few days”.

What does this have to do with Haye?

Stop being a bunch of pathetic sheep and actually form your own opinions for a change.

I hate Ruiz, but I am praying he will succeed. Either Ruiz fights Valuev in December and Haye can get in line for a mandatory shot or Haye has to give up 75% of his purse and pay Ruiz for stepping aside.

The situation is not much different from when Vitali tried to fight Maskaev and Sam Peter threatened to sue the WBC. Peter then offerd Vitali to step aside so Vitali can face Maskaev and demanded $3 million for doing so. Obviously, Vitali declined and simply sat and waited and fought the winner.

What if Ruiz just asks for $1 million for stepping aside. Who's going to pay that? Certainly won't come out of Valuev's purse?

The WBA will more than likely grant an exception if they can. They'll make a nice fee of Haye Valuev more so than Ruiz.

Haye is not the problem, Ruiz is. David just wants a title fight, hence the reason he's fighting Valuev. Without a title, Valuev is not even worth fighting IMO.

Haye wants a quick shot at A heavyweight title. Theres a possibility he may just have to get in line like everyone else. What worries me is his inactivity. I know his stay will be short but theres no shortcuts to be taken in this division. Id just prefer Haye to stay busy instead of this one fight in a blue moon malarky.

I hope Haye is taking a couple Xanax the next couple of nights until the WBA officially rules on this. I bet he will have trouble falling asleep these days

Ok we'll see. If the belt isn't on the line who wants to bet Haye doesn't go through with the fight?

I can't stand Haye, but the problem here is Ruiz. I'm sure they'll pay him off to shut up and then the fight will go on as planned. There's way too much money to be lost for this fight not to happen.

Why blame Ruiz? It was Haye and Boothe who "confidentley" made the fight behind the Klitschkos, HBO, and Schaefer and gloated about it. All this does is prove the Klitschko's are right, in that Haye and his management are absolutely clueless in contracting and making fights. Anyone with some commen sense could of seen the pleothra of problems that would of arisen when working with the WBA. Frankly I don't blame Ruiz, at least his fought 40+ times as HW and did what he had do within the boundaries of the WBA to a earn shot...what has Haye done? Come to think of it nothing, since November of 2007 his only fought a total of 7 rounds.

Your exactly right, Haye has a big ego, that much we know by now. From the funny youtube videos of him making fun of the Klitschko's, to him actually confronting Wlad and demanding a title fight after only one fight heavyweight.

I truly believe Haye thinks he's the younger version of Evander Holyfield, and after seeing what Evander did to Valuev last year, he now thinks the fight is in the bag for him. Unless Ruiz' team completely makes this fight impossible for Haye, it will go down as scheduled.

Its John Ruiz but still that is pretty bad for Haye. He will have to climb the ladder now like everyone else to get the title shot.

Its not even the ego. Haye has no plans to be in this sport long. His cashing in his chips as quickly as he can. Shame as he's very talented. But his attitude has always been wrong.
