I would have no problem with Ruiz fighting Haye and the winner getting Valuev. Either way this is a mess and I have no faith in the WBA to handle it properly. Maybe Ruiz vs Haye could be for the 'Interim' WBA belt I mean they already have 32 champions in 17 weight classes what is one more? :roflatsch
Honestly...I'm glad...Ruiz beat Valuev the first time anyway....so its actually only fair that he get a shot...not that I will enjoy the fight...but I will watch it. He's way more deserving of a title shot than Haye...even if he's old and shitty and was never really that good
I think the only thing that bothers me about this...is that we didn't get to wait long enough to see Haye pull out of the fight
Don King.:yep And it's been going on for a LONG time. Without King, Ruiz would have been lucky to get a shot at a regional title, let alone get all these title shots and be allowed to hold excessively in just about every one!
If this is true, i`m not surprized! Just like i expected, Haye is a coward! theres been no big talk from him lately, and thats what Haye does best.. but when it comes to action he always finds a way to chicking out, Damn its so patetic it hurts
I'm not someone with special inside knowledge. But I can tell you that if Haye was stupid enough to try approaching Wlad now that Wlad would laugh in his face and tell him to **** off to the back of the line. Haye has ****ed the Klits around way too much. Do you really think they would give yet another chance to someone who has only proven that he can waste everyone's time and act like a *****? Everyone at Heavy deserves a shot more than Haye. He has blown it.
http://www.411mania.com/boxing/news/114431/The-Latest-on-John-Ruiz-and-the-WBA-Title.htm We were informed this afternoon by two time WBA world champion John Ruiz's public relations team that Ruiz was set to waive his mandatory challenge to WBA World Champion Nikolai Valuev so that the WBA heavyweight title fight between Valuev and David Haye can proceed as scheduled on November 7, 2009. While Ruiz felt he had a solid case to be placed in a match with Valuev he did not wish to drag the process through the Courts. Instead, Ruiz will fight on the undercard of Valuev-Haye on November 7th and will then face the winner of Valuev-Haye for the WBA world championship. Ruiz's camp informed us that we should expect a formal announcement of the decision by the end of this week.
Tua fights Shane Cameron on October 3rd which should put him back in the rankings (although probably not with the WBA). Looks like he will come into this fight in reasonable shape as well (235 - 240). Maybe they can fly Tua over to end Ruiz' career on the Valuev-Haye undercard in November. I can't think of anyone that wouldn't like to see that fight happen. You could double ticket prices and still sell out if it meant the end of Ruiz.
You are absolutely right Rudy it aint Haye's fault it is that lame ass Ruiz. but I think we have see this as a bigger perspective.. I mean why is all this happening.. If Haye only fought his way to title shot, earned it, then fight would have happened... This is all too familiar I quess this is the price for choosing the easy way out...:-( Haye is really a Talent, he is natural gifted and it is a damn shame such a Great sportsman is wasting it. David is digging his own Grave here:verysad At first I wasnt sure was Haye worth of fighting Wlad but now Im starting to regret fight never happened because if things keep going like this, that fight might never happen.
