I know its early days, but how do you see this going? Can Haye win? and if so, what does he need to do?
I agree, I think Haye will try and be as slippery as possible early on, the longer the fight goes on the better for Haye, as he is much fresher and younger and is probablly going to be in a lot better shape that Vitali who will probablly gas in the mid-rounds (Haye will make him work a hell of a lot harder than Peter did). Haye takes this on points or late stoppage.
I like Hayes confidence. He knows he's chinny, but he's thrown caution to the wind and gone with the harder hitting and more durable brother. This shows he's fearless, but as talented and courageous he may be, invincible he is not. He's quick, strong, got loads of lateral and head movement, but more importantly, he's got no defense or chin. Vit will jab his head of all day. Hayes' got a puncher's chance, nothing more in this one. Oh but wait, Vitali's got a chin like granite. He's got a problem here. Hayes lack of experience with a tall, rangy 200+ pounder might go against him also, sparring against this type of opponent is a must. But at the end of the day, sparring is no substition for a raging 6 feet 7 Ukraninan powerhouse!!! If Haye had got Wlad, i would have went for a KO win all day, but I get the feeling he could throw a tank at Vit's chine and it wouldn't even scratch him. I hope he can do it, because the 200+ division needs a breath of fresh air, but i'll go with a Klitcsko 6th round KO. :-(
haye takes this one.... he;s going to fight like we've never see him fight b4, he's gonna be in and out not nesecsarily boxing but just alot of movment , hell he even kisses the canvas mid fight but he wins a ud
vitali sould win by the tenth. Speed will diminsh in the later rounds eventually he will get tagged and ten tagged again. and the referee will stop it
Vitali by mid round KO--Who the hell has Haye beaten at heavy to prepare him for V KLITS???:huh... Haye is just a hype job at heavy!!
I disagree, British people are saying the same as everyone else, Haye is the underdog and it will be tough as hell for him. I just personally think Haye will do it, the guy is a top athelete and you can bet he will be in the shape of his life come July, if he get his tactics right and Vitali isn't 100% then Haye stands a reasonable chance. Like you said, speed is v.important, Haye has it, Vitali doesn't. So that is one plus aspect in Haye's favour.
