Haye has a puncher's chance vs Wlad. Something like 15-20%. Haye has about 5% against Vitali. Honestly, I can't think of a way Haye could win this, but I'm not saying "no chance" cause there's always a chance in this sport.
I want Haye to win because I've become a massive fan of his in the last few years, he's a quality operator. Who I want to win and what I think will happen are 2 different things unfortunately though....I see the fight as being 65-35 in VITLAYS favour, mainly down to Haye's chin. My pick would be VITLAY by TKO in round 7, but he'll have to endure his fair share of scares along the way and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he got floored by Haye in the early rounds, the kid hits hard and often, and VITLAY isn't as young as he was (obviously) With luck and a fair wind I'll be there on fight night cheering the Hayemaker on though, a win for Haye would bring the division back to life.
The only chance Haye has is to bull rush Vitali the way Iron Mike used to bull rush his opponents and hope for the best. Haye needs to go right after him and try and catch Vitali off-guard. JMO The longer the fight goes, the more comfortable Vitali will become with controlling the fight on the outside and picking David apart. If Haye isn't super-aggressive, he will lose. He needs to smother Vitali from the get-go and not give him any room to punch.
This is an easy payday for Klitschko. Haye is a tough guy and comes to fight and he's an action fighter. He's good for boxing because he's anything but boring. He just does not have that elite level size to beat either of the Klitschkos. If Areola would would get serious and train he could pose a huge problem for them. He, unlike Haye, has the size of a true modern heavyweight. He has a great chin from what I've seen and he can punch like hell. Haye will not be able to surive a few good shots. He has a small head and a narrow jawline. Areola has a huge head and a thick bull neck. He is more durable.
I think its a safe bet that the morning after the night before someone will be bumping this thread. And, Sir, please tell me what Fish'n'Chips have to do with Vitali getting raped? I think this 'invincible Vitali' mentality is very odd. Vitali is not undefeated, he has never actually beaten a great fighter, in fact his resume is very weak, he has been inactive for years and will be nearly 38 come fight night.... So why is it so difficult for some people, like yourself, to accept that the former undisputed cruiserweight champion actually has a chance to win? It it because you can't imagine a scenario in which an Aryan throwback like Vitali gets beat by a young, strong and handsome black British star? Or you just too much of a nuthugger to entertain the possibility?
Haye will land easily taking the 1st few rounds. (Slow hands and feet v rapid and very accurate counter puncher). By the 7th, Vitali will still be in there swinging and Haye will realize he cant KO this opponent and he'll try and keep out of trouble till the final bell. As the fight goes on, Vitali is going to take more chances and we all know what'll happen if Big Vitali connects!
