Interesting re - writing of history...

Vitali easily outpointed Byrd, who landed something like four clean punches to the head in these nine rounds. Vitali decided to sacrifice one fight for his career, his best fights came after the Byrd loss and obvioulsy it was a wise decision. What is the point of fighting through a torn rotator cuff like Lacy and never regaining one's old form?

He quit against Lewis? What fight were you watching. I am a big fan of Lewis, but he got lucky in that fight.

What does Haye bring to the table that Vitali has not faced and beaten? Speed? Haye is not faster than Donald or Hide. Power? Haye is not proven as a puncher at HW, I doubt he hist harder than Sanders. Heart? Nobody beats Williams when it comes to heart. What does Vitali bring to the table that Haye has never faced? Oh, not much, just a 6'8 frame, longer arms, more power, weird angles, the best chin, the highest KO ratio...

I think a KO over Valuev will mean more to Vitali's career than a KO over Haye.

im know being inactive is always bad, but haye was training like a madman for the vlad fight and i feel with the top class sparring he will be getting for the vitali fight it wont be a huge factor in the outcome of the fight, if haye comes through the first half of the fight relativley unscathed then the tide might change and haye might start to put a beating on vitali

my prediction is a sixth round tko for vitali in a very competitive fight where haye takes advantage of his advanced mobility and speed whilst vitali uses his power and experience, eventually resulting in haye being put in all kinds of trouble

I gave Haye a puncher's chance against Wlad, but he has no chance against Vitali.

Haye really should have fought some big, washed up heavies and contenders before jumping in with the only decent fighters in the division. He's making a mistake not building up heavyweight experience first. This is like a 10 fight novice fighting a 40 fight veteran. Oh wait, Haye made that mistake already....

im not sure, haye might just outlast vitali, having a great chin isnt everything, if you keep getting hit you will go down

I laugh at the rediculous posts that say Vitali is *old, slow* decrepid, etc

The guy is as sharp as he's ever been.........Period.

Sure, the first two rounds against Gomez were less than impressive, but if he were aging, he'd have continued to wither as the fight wore on, instead of getting sharper, and more effective, and eventaully KOing his man, after he figured out Gomez, as he did.

Some of the assessments on this site are beyond childish and unfounded.

Vitali is as effective, powerful, sharp, and well conditioned, as ever, and he'll take Haye out, mid to late.

Vitali doesn't get hit often. I'm pretty sure he outreaches Haye, and even if he doesn't Haye is going to be aiming for a chin five inches higher than his own. He's never fought anyone close to that tall. Combine that with Haye's stupid low hanging left, Vitali's chin, power, awkwardness and experience and its a mountain to climb. Vitali won't choke under the pressure like Wlad and he doesnt have his brother's chin. Haye is biting off more than he can chew with this one. He's woefully unprepared for what he's getting into

As much as I like Haye, I can't for the life of me see him beating either Klitschko. His inactivity will be a huge factor, this would be only his 2nd fight since March 08, as will his punch resistance.

Hope Haye wins, would be very surprised if he does though.

Well, he is injury prone, granted, but he boxer beautifully against Peter for 8 rounds without slowing down, and I didn't see any signs he was going to tire. Haye, on the other hand, hasn't had a tough fight that went into the championship rounds. He'd better be doing a lot of running along with all the weights or the extra muscle is going to drain his stamina.

Vitali should TKO Haye in the early to middle rounds unless Vitali gets hurt or grows old overnight.
