Haye Vs Wald Fight Prediction

    I see this fight going only 2 ways and 2 ways only. I give both fighters respect for finally bringing this fight to the fans. Both fighters have a chance of winning.....only one will. Here are the reasons Wald will win this fight. Haye needs to come out swinging from the first round, I don't think he will. He will wait a few rounds. That will be Hayes first mistake.

    The reason I say it will be Hayes first mistake is because Haye does not have time to wait, the longer the fight goes the more the fight turns in Walds favour. I don't see Haye coming out explosive like he needs to and I think that may cost him the fight. I think Hayes best chance at winning this fight is in the first 3-4 rounds before he starts to tire. I do believe that Haye does have stamina issues, and I think you will see that in this fight the longer the fight goes.

    Wald can hurt you with you with the jab alone. Haye needs to get inside to cause Wald any damage, that means Haye will be eating jabs as he tries to get inside. Haye needs to fight inside at some point or his chance of winning drops as Wald & Haye fighting on the outside, Wald beats Haye everytime I think. Haye can't wait till the 12 round as in the Valuev fight because this fight will never make the 12 round.

    Will Haye come out explosive from round 1...NO! I don't think there is a chance in hell of that happening. This fight is Hayes to win or lose, his chances depend on his game plan and he better have a good one. I personally don't think Haye does or the first time he gets hit by Wald his gameplan will change. Saying and doing are two different things for Haye.

    For the reasons stated above I see this fight over within 6 or earlier with Wald getting a KO win. This is just my thoughts on this fight. Let the debate begin......

    Wladimir will come out sharper than ever for this fight. Haye will eat some bombs and early. Haye's chin won't hold up to the same crisp right hands that Chagaev and Chambers ate in the first few rounds of those fights. Wladimir will have Haye out of there in 4-5 rounds.

    I say Wlad by KO.

    I can't imagine Haye getting up twice after KDs, and Wlad will knock him down at least once in the first 4 rounds. The first time will probably be a flash KD from a jab or a short R hand. The second will come from a powerful hook or a long straight R and Haye will quit right there on the canvas not wanting to look like Chris Byrd in the post fight presser.

    Haye will eat some bombs but that will be later in the fight not early, i cant really see Haye just sitting infront of Wlad waiting for a counter opportunity like those two guys did, Haye is far quicker on his feet than those two and far more slippery, he also hits a good deal harder and has the speed necessary to land on Wlad and make him reluctant to throw if he tries to be too aggresive.

    I agree Todd that I think Wald will start off quiker the we have seen him do in the past.

    I think Wlad will win by KO around the 9th round, i dont think starting off quick is a great idea against Haye.

    Wlad stoppage mid to late rounds ... too much speed, power, and skill. Wlad is the most technically skilled HW ever ... he does everything right and never puts himself at a disadvantage. Haye is going to do what he can but to beat Wlad you will have to take a beating ... he's not going to catch him by surprise like Sanders who has "sneaky quickness" and a strong as left hand.

    In theory that is how it would be, but that is to say that Haye has Byrd's tenacity which we have not seen. Look back at the Valuev fight and we can see that Haye wants NO part of getting hit more than once to get inside.

    I think he'll go for it in the opening 3 rds and when he realizes he aint getting Wlad outta there, he'll begin his bicycling routine, and find himself on the end of a few crisp shots.

    I can't see him hanging in there through the punishment guys like Brewster and Byrd took.:-(

    Good point and I agree with you 100% except the opening 3 rounds, I don't think Haye will come out trying to be explosive. Think he will come out like the Harrison fight but back peddling early

    Haye to land some half decent shots in the first 4 rounds, managing to avoid the jab for sometime, until after the 5th, maybe 6th, he'll begin to eat some jabs and Wlad will begin to get comfortable.

    I predict Waldo by technical knock out in the 8th or 9th round. Waldo will probably bide his time until he is certain Haye is for the taking.

    And I agree with thread starter, Haye needs to come out ferociously and look to unsettle Waldo early, otherwise he'll end up pummelled.
