10 years ago you would say yes,but the klits are lightyears ahead of the rest because the division is that poor.there is not a tune up with an established hw that would give any pointers out there for haye(a poor mans klit)and hes obviously not going to risk a big payday with a high risk opponent

It is a bit early, but he has to be careful at heavyweight because a guy like Peter can finish him with a single punch.

Maybe he should have a tune-up fight, but after that I would like to see him try his luck - better too soon than never.

It's too early for Haye but I'm sure he'd take the fight if offered it.

the money would have to be right though.and there is not a ppv fight there for him that is worth the risk/reward other than the klits which is a lock for him anyway next summer.

Haye's already put himself on the radar of both Klitschkos. Why fight someone else and run the risk of losing. His chin is already in question so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that some lesser fighter could tag him. Haye should go straight to Klitschko. I respect all fighters and try not to be a selfish fan but we've waited long enough.

Wladimir Klitschko vs. David Haye is what boxing needs.

I think he should fight a few more fights at HW before getting a title shot. Beating Monte Barret didn't get CLiff Couser a title shot and it shouldn't get David Haye one either.

Bingo! I thought Haye said he was going to fight a top 10 Heavyweight in his first real HW fight? Barrett is still decent but certainly not top 10.

The fact that Couser KO'd Barrett was all over these pages & it was only 4 fights ago for Barrett. Monte avenged that defeat in his next fight, KO'd Tye "Big Nobody" Fields & then got TKO'd by Haye.

It's too early for Haye. Holyfield had to claw his way up over a cast of contenders. Haye needs to do the same.

mistake me if im wrong but when holyfield moved up the division had depth?Name 1 a hw that you could say really deserved a title shot.

The difference between then and now is that back then there were legit contenders to face, that is why Holyfield had to climb up the rankings, today a C level fighter is the next level down from the A level heavyweights the divison is that bad that there are no B level Heavyweights.

Sadly as it sounds, Haye Klitschko should happen soon.

Wlad is not that much bigger than haye. Haye has more speed than I expected at heavy. Wlad would not last two rounds with this guy.
