Now first off I am not a delusional nuthugger of this guy. I like him as he is a good guy, is a Brit, And has an explosive, exciting style. I realise he is flawed as a fighter, and could well lose his upcoming fight with Mormeck. But as far as I can see, David Haye has the best chance of all the heavyweights out there right now to beat Wladimir Klitschko. I cannot really see Povetkin beating Wlad, he is too small, and does not hit hard enough. It almost goes without saying that the other 'champs' cannot beat him either, unless he gets hit with a massive punch, however none of the current champs are huge hitters and would be probably be beat down in the same way as Brock, Byrd and Austin.

Haye would be, (as most fighters out there) a big underdog against Wladimir, this much is obvious. But I think that logically he has a decent chance of doing a 'Sanders' on Wladdy in the first few rounds. He is as explosive as anyone out there, has one hell of a punch, and just as important is fast handed. he is a very fast starter, and puts together fast, accurate, powerful combos. Now if, and its a big if, Haye were able to overwhelm Wladdy in the first round or so with his speed and power, he could just get a KO/TKO. His chances would fade down the stretch, as Wlads size would come into play, though he would always have a good punchers chance. It would become more and more likely down the stretch however, Wlads size, jab and power would exhaust Haye and he would likely be KO'd himself.

But the best shot I reckon anyone has at beating Wlad right now are to take him out early, and I think David Haye has the best chance of doing that.

I kinda agree with what your saying, but I need to see a little more of Haye before Im convinced that he could upset Wlad. He has the power to hurt the weak chin of Wlad, but can he take Wlads punches? I think he needs a couple more matches before he calls out Wlad, but I would love to see a guy like Haye knock Wlad out cold.

Let's see how Haye--and his reputedly shaky chin--do against Mormeck before we give him a shot against the best heavyweight puncher.

After Haye will KO Mormeck and makes it look like easy fight, many want to see him to fight someone decent in Heavyweights.

If you read the post properly you will realise I accept Haye probably will be KOed. But his chance against Wladdy would be to blow him out early with his power and speed, kinda like Sanders did

I think Klitschko would make Haye looking quite mediocre if they fight. Haye never fought a guy like Klitschko and he cannot cope with it.
First time Klitschko connects flush, Haye is out of the game.

    Klitschko TKO inside 5

And my point is, let's see how he does against Mormeck before we start throwing these sorts of hypotheticals out there.

Both guys have awesome power, and shaky chin's. Haye is unproven at HW though. Whoever landed first would probably win this one, with Wlad being more technically refined and overall a better fighter i think he'd stop Haye brutally inside 4 rounds at the moment. However, Haye hasnt even reached his prime yet, and at 27 has alot of time to improve and with heavyweight experience he could be very good. Im still worried about his chin though.

Whether Haye is a success or not, he'll be very fun to watch!

Povetkin is too small for Wlad but Haye isn't?

Povetkin has more chance of beating Wlad than Haye!

Haye gets stopped inside of 8!

wladdys chin was never real that weak, its just he had no cardio, like when he went up against brewster, he had no cardio but when he went up against peters he started gain somewhat cardio, hayes is good, but he is nowhere near the caliber fighter as wladdy

I have maintaned that there is no need for the cruiser division. I bet if we had a tournament with the to 10 HW, top 10 Cruisers and top 10 Light HW's that both the cruisers and LHW would hold their own just fine, hence proving there is no need for a cruiser division. It stinks up boxing. Any man 176 and up can hold his own. Many cruisers would probably fight at 185-200 or so as a HW and do just fine. Even a LHW who fought at 180-185 would do just fine as a HW if he had the skills.

    It could go like this

    147 Welterweight
    165 Middleweight
    185 Light LHW
    Above 185 HW

You can tell Wlads chin is weak, watch his legs buckle and him go into a panic attack. Watch the first Brewster fight, he almost went down fom one left hook, he had to hold on for dear life for about 10 seconds in the 3rd round. His chin is pretty bad, going down 11 times in your career should tell you his chin is glass.
