I severely doubt that. The cruiserweights are a solid division. He'd have trouble with Adamek in his prime nevermind now.

I don't think it was easy for him, he got hit with a lot of heavy shots and looked on the brink of going down a few times. He wasn't far off getting Ezra Sellersed. A few 'easy' fights like that and you're gonna turn old fast.

It was easy for Thompson once he survived the intial early storm which was horrid for him for the 1st round at least

Then all he had to do was keep the pressure coming forward and wait for Haye to come apart

    which happened quite quickly

Why didn't Enzo follow the same gameplan, Flint?

He made a mistake not to do so

Everyone said the longer the fight goes - the better chance for Enzo

Problem is Enzo shat himself and was backing off

You cant back off Haye - he will swarm all over you

Haye is a notrious on top fighter

He aint half as good when things aint all his own way

When the end came Enzo was backing away scared - curtains

The way to fight Haye is to pressure him

You got to be brave and tough chin to do this but its the key to beating the man

    Thompson done it

    Frogemenini nearly did it

Mormeck fought the right fight to and was on top early on and had Haye in trouble

Pressure and pressure and more pressure

    Enzo fought the wrong fight

He fought how Haye wants to fight - open and free

He should have jumped on Haye and smothered him - and bashed him to the body and bulled him too the ropes

and ****ed his eye up by reopening old wounds

he showed Haye too much respect

he should smashed Haye up by pressuring him

Haye is a on top fighter :deal

In Carl Thompsons 10th fight he lost to a guy that was 3-1-1. He should give Haye a bit more respect for fighting him.

how can he say "that Haye is too small to beat the much Wlad" and in the same breath say "I give him a 50-50 chance"
hes Contradicting himself unless im missing something?

he should definitly give him some more respect. its obvious that Haye was young and arrogant thinking he could knock everyone out at the time but dont think he will make the same mistake again because you learn by your mistakes.

Flint your talking some sense. One thing to point out is that Wlad is not a pressure fighter.

Haye is much more like the fighters that caused Wlad trouble than Wlad is like the fighters that caused Haye trouble.

Haye always struggles with short squat fighters that cover up as they walk forward, not allowing Haye to tee off on their chin with his booming power shots. Mormeck and Fragomeni never punched to leave an opening until they got into their range. This way they saw off a lot of Haye's best work, wasted his energy and even had their own successes (Fragomeni cut him and made it look hard work, Mormeck knocked him down, hurt him, and was level on points perhaps).

The taller, more upright fighters are more to his liking. That said, he's never had to deal with a laser like left jab. That is going to give him something else to think about, Wlad is not like a Gurov or Enzo standing there. He's a huge guy that is on his feet, and throwing a HARD jab from half way across the ring. One way or another he has to find a way to get past that without getting hit regularly, because even that jab is going to hurt him.

I love Carl too , but to say it was easy is a bit much , he was on rubber legs more than once.

Anyway I tend to disregard the opinions of guys who have to lost to a fighter they are criticizing.

    ODLH " Pac doesn't hit hard " etc !

Thompson only beat Haye because of Haye punching himself out over the first 3 rds or so. Haye was punching holes through Thompson early. It was brutal.
