HAYE was HATED for even THINKING about RAHMAN, but he's OK for WLAD

Personally, I'll take any challenger over a canceled fight. It gives us all something else to watch and talk about. Another notch on Wlad's belt more than likely.

But Suge, where is that letter by Rahman that you posted a few times? Surely, he deserves a shot at a Klitschko after the delays and cancellation from a few years back. By Wlad taking the fight, he certainly isn't ducking Hasim as your use of his letter would imply Vitali did.

6 weeks notice, he was supposed to fight Povetkin.
Do you think there was better options that would step in on six weeks notice?

Rahman is not okay for Wlad because his fights a already boring enough. Rahman doesn't deserve a shot because he has been awful lately and if he wins, Wlad is done. They could have found a better opponent if they really tried.

Haye didn't do anything in the HW division to even deserve Rahman. Rahmans career at this moment shits on Hayes resume.

The hell is wrong with you people.

    Yes he is.

But only because I would FAR more enjoy watching Waldo deposit FatToney into the third row, then KO'ing a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay past his best Rahman.

    Not because he's any better.

Why not actually find somebody interesting? Why not a young guy? Surely there's enough guys out there that would fight on 6 weeks notice? It's not like it's a week or 2.

Hasim ****ing "Hasim knows it's his last chance so he's focused THIS time " Rahman. How many chances has this ******* had in last chance saloon? He's a ****ing resident there.

    Agreed man:good
Haye should be respected for doing what he does. If he is really serious about wanting to fight the best then he has my respect, but if he wants to fight Klitschkos just for the money then I see why a lot of people don't like him

But Wlad had to make his IBF Mandatory. And his mandatory was Alexander Povetkin, who pulls out. Rahman was the next available contender, so Wlad had to box him or the IBF would stripped him of the title.

I don't think that Valuev and Wlad are that stupid. They would never make that fight in such a short notice. They'd want more time to promote the fight.
But I'd love to see the fight, though

I would have loved to see Haye fight Rahman. Much better than Barrett.

Wlad is not pleased about taking this fight, he'd much rather it was Nikolai.

In last week's SI there was a blurb (following a page long article lamenting De La Hoya) where Klitschko attacks Valuev for not manning up and resisting the fight with Holyfield; saying he wanted to fight the giant himself.

All of the criticism toward Haye was founded...

...and WLAD with his KLIT-ites, managed to avoid much of it...even though he fought the opponent that wasn't good enough for a CW to debut against...because Toney made him quit after 3 rounds. No suprise Toney got the Rock out of their quicker.

...and much respect to David Haye and James Toney for both selecting a tougher opponent AT THIS TIME, than the HW Champ WLAD KLITschko did.

"...but it was a replacement opponent." :|
