No one except 100 old Thompson  ... but you may be right especially
if Haye will not fight the one who wants voluntarily prove otherwise as SC :rofl

The same sneaky tactic Haye just used to duck
Rahman and Toney who were willing to fight him at HW, instead he
    chose the dangerous Monte :nut

Lets just say clearly ... Ali did not beat Haye, that means
Ali has no rightful claim to be called the greatest :-(

    it's not a technicality ..

for all those looking for a definition Undisputed means holding the WBA, WBC and IBF belt all at the same time.

When Bernard Hopkins defeated Tito Trinidad at MSG for the WBA Middleweight title to add to his IBF and WBC belt that made B-Hop the undisputed Middleweight champion of the world.

later Hopkins would add De La Hoya's WBO Middleweight.

it might be "bull****" but Undisputed = WBA + WBC + IBF all at the same time.

still though 3 outta 4 ain't bad. and besides already mentioned but the sanctioning organizations make being undisputed almost impossible with mandatories interim titles and other kinds of hijinx

Argreed. Holding the 3 major belts (IBF-WBA-WBC) make you the undisputed champ. That is also my opinion. Tyson did it, Holyfield did it and Haye did not.

Now, some more demanding might even add the last body created the WBO which is not recognized by some boxing purists.

I know the facts, you don't have to patronise me. There's no reason to recognise any of them, there is no lineage. The ibf can be regarded as a joke thanks to the fbi, the wba is a joke thanks to their absurd "super champion" crap, ditto for the wbc with their "emeritus" crap. the belt doth not maketh the man, nor the champion. There is no dispute that can be leveled at Haye's championship status, therefore he is undisputed.
Nobody took the wbc seriously until Holmes dumped his wba belt. **** knows how the ibf ever got any recognition in the first place. It's who you beat, not for what.

How could this "ancient concept" mean winning all the belts when there was only ONE belt when the term was invented???

Basically you are saying that you do not recognize the ABC titles.
I understand your point but there are several problems which follow.

Haye beat the man in Bell and became in your opinion the champ.
But why was Bell the man? Well, Bell was the man because he hold the IBF and WBA straps.

It is fact that the people who hold a ABC title, may call themselves champion. When is in your opinion a man champ then? He has to have a belt. Even if corrupt, you can't deny that the ABC titles are still very significant.

I know the Brit fans are arguing over this because of the Haye case and letting too much emotions in.

I admit that the rule is little bit unfair in the Haye case as Haye beat Bell who just vacated the IBF strap. But the rule is the rule and no rule is perfect. According to the rule you got to fight your mandatories to remain undisputed champ because the guy who has one ABC title has always the right to call himself champion.

Then, there are some Brit fans who deliberately want to create some confusion about the identy of the major titles. In an incredible way, they argue that the WBA deserves no more recongnizition than the IBU or WBF.

Total nonsense, as it is fact that the three major bodies are the IBF-WBA-WBC. So holding those 3 titles should be sufficient to call yourselves undisputed champion as some boxing purists never recognized the WBO.

Now, I wont argue with those who think that the WBO should be added as it has gained a lot of reconginsition over the time. Now this might seem odd for our recent followers of the sport but it is the way it is.

Conclusion and final word on this subject:

Hopkins, Holyfied, Tyson ...were undisputed but Haye never was.

You are talking out of your arse here, Haye never fought Bell, and Bell was stripped of the IBF title due to inactivity (due to injury)

Haye was as undisputed as any champion in boxing, he was linear, and would have held all 4 belts if the IBF never stripped Bell. And nobody disputed his claim as number 1 in the division.

Similair to the Calzaghe situation. Was he never undisputed? Linear means just as much anyway in most cases.

And I defy you to find anyone who disputes the fact that Haye was the champ at CW.

The Blade is such a dummy. He doesn't even know that Haye didn't even fight Bell. He's just a guy who repeats what he hears. He doesn't know anything about boxing.

    Very funny idiot!

Stop playing on words when you are too dumb to understand a concept. You are just so damned limited it is not even funny. Not able to understand what a simple concept like undisputed champ means and then inisting on a meaningless detail....Not able to differ between linear and undisputed champ, man get lost...

Of course I meant Mormeck. O Neil Bell originally held the IBF, WBA and WBC belts when he beat Mormeck in 2006. That is what I meant and if you don't know it you are even more dumb than I thought but that is probably the case.

Go fk yourself with your co-sign.

You aren't able to develop 2 arguments in a row and insist on meaningless details which do not impact the major issue of the thread...guess it suits your intelligence...
