he weighed 231 in his previous heavyweight fight so i'd probably have to say somwhere around that mark.
Quite interesting this, I thought he looked markedly bigger and slower on his heavy outing at about 217. I don't think he should go too high too soon. Especially considering stamina doesn't seem to be Haye's strong suit. Peak Tyson was sub-220 after all. I reckon about 225.
Too many guys here get hung up on weight. Weight although an indication of general conditioning isn't hard and fast. Haye isn't a guy who likes to do roadwork. Additionally he has to weigh in at a weight he feels comfortable with. Comparing him to other fighters is fruitless.
I hope he doesn't go go near the 230s. He was 217 last time. Add a bit of muscle to the legs and I think 220 would be enough.
To be honest, I'm a little concerned about the length of time he hasn't been in the ring. He's young so it won't affect him as much as an older fighter, but it never helps and he could be a little heavier due to it. I'm going for 230.
He'll go heavy. With all the jibes about him not being a real heavyweight, he'll go heavy to prove a point. The ego has landed.
Gonna go 222. I think 230 is too much for his frame and will be artificial weight which is pointless. I too am amazed by other boxers, trainers and the press banging on about his weight saying hes' not a natural heavyweight. The vast majority of the best heavies in history weighed significantly less than 230 at their peak and what else would you call a 6' 3" cruiserweight who busts his balls to lose 1.5 stone of muscle for each fight if that's not a natural heavyweight!!
Weight is all a load of ****, I'll say it until the end of time. Weight on this forum has become like an event in itself. Everybody studies how ripped and "big" they are at weigh ins. This guys too big for this guy. Or this guy lost because he put on a few lbs. It's almost as stupid as the people that think pre-SRR are cavemen type figures, and todays fighters will beat them because they have a tin of whey.
