Interesting that both fighters have been stopped: one was stopped in the 10th round in a war against the best cruiser in the world at the time, the other was stopped in the 5th round by a can. Yet, people are falling all over themselves to pick Haye by KO here. I guess the average fan just has an insatiable appetite for hype.

With Haye fighting Mormeck and Enzo fighting Sellers, it means the best four cruiserweights in the world will all be in action around the same time.

I gave Johnny Nelson alot of credit as far as his championship credentials were concerned. Aside from the longevity of his title reign he beat some pretty good fighters and did it in their backyard on more than one occasion. He may have held a marginalized belt but he was every bit the champion as the other 3.

And I'm glad he retired with his faculties intact.

Like I said he was a good/strong titlist, just like Enzo and Carl. Johnny never looked for the unification and when you spend that long in the game/as champ, your legacy will suffer.

Enzo is and has faced good comp. Carl was rocking with the best until the end. He shattered two prospects in Rothmann and Haye - one of them never really came back from it.

Haye from day one has wanted to set himself apart. Heres a reminder, the guys had 20 fights and can already say hes faced a few former champs, fought at heavy, is European champ and is now fighting for THE title.

I think this is a 50/50 fight...but I lean towards the younger, fresher fighter. Haye TKO8

Haye will have the power to crack his chin , the question in this fight is can he do that before getting chinned himself .

In terms of pure fighting action and not names this is the most exciting fight out there at the moment , I can't see it going past 5 rounds .

should be a good stoush. i hope haye didn't drain himself too much in returning from the heavies. i still haven't figured out why he went up there in the first place if it's so hard for him to shed the weight.

sometimes when fighters venture into a higher weight, they find the new muscle sticks more and is alot harder to remove when they go back down.

but provided haye trained like a man possessed he should retain most of his stamina.

i think since haye's power will be reduced a bit from the weight loss, he will be more evenly matched to mormeck.

mormecks biggest weakness to me it seems is his stamina. compact and power, but his body lies about his fighting fitness. similar to taylor. they look spectacular, but cannot fight a full 12 rounds at top level.

yes he won the belts in the rematch with o'neil bell but he was very tired in the second half of the fight. so if haye has more energy after 6 rounds he should be able to win this, or tko mormeck

Probably. However, anyone who doesn't get a hard-on for Mormeck getting it on with Haye is clearly a homosexual in the Arran mold.
