Thoughtful and insightful post although a would bet to say that a lot has changed since their amateur days and as such I politely disagree mate. I'd actually say that Audley is undeserving of such a high profile fight and having seen him twice live, last of which was in Manchester on the Khan versus Prescott undercard he lacks the heart and ability to beat Haye.

He's slow, continually plods away with the outstretched arm, has poor work rate and doesn't create the necessary angles or punch output to overcome David Haye's superior work rate.

In my opinion Audley's not got it in him to dig deep and go into the trenches against someone of Haye's talent (No disrespect to Sprott) and when he gets hit flush he'll go into his shell which Haye will take advantage of.

Haye will win within 3 rounds by ko and this is merely a side step on the patch to fighting one of the Klitschko's.

think you might be reffering to a session in the states where Harrison was just early back into training and not match fit and Hayr tried to jump all over him... think lennox was there. My stories are from amateur days

Thanks squire! this is a well made argument that accurately describes the majority and prevailing opinions on this fight. Much of what you say is bona fide.
However as we know the beauty of boxing as we all know is that at times the alchemist in the sky serves us up with a match up where the chemistry conjurs up unexpected events. lets see

I will say one thiong, if harrison has good preperation, tihhtens up his guard and actualy steps into his jab instead of pawing with it, throws it with authoruity and follows up with the left hand he has the tools and power to beat haye, come fight night i will make my decisin on the weigh inn night before and put on a bet.

He will get obliterated if he fights same way he has been since danny williams fight.
