There is a British boxing subforum forum, ya know. The fans from the UK on this site often seem like pure trash to me. They think that David Gaye registers as an ATG.. I actually believe that Gaye vs V-W Klitschko won't happen because Gaye has proven to be a ducker in the past. That was a sloppy performance against an old bum called Ruiz. Wlad would knock Gaye's head back in an even sharper fashion with his jabs and introduce the Steel Hammer in the 2nd round. David Gaye would get KTFO early :dead
:rofl David Haye, allthough not a HoF, is a real heavywheight contender, and of international relevance, so stfu please. Answering the original post, i think Haye knocking out Wlad is wishful thinking. Haye`s got a punchers chance in this one, but definately a real one. At the same time i do not think i he will have the guts to come out as aggressive as he did in the Ruiz fight, that way reducing that chance alot, as he cannot win a UD. i give this to Wlad... late KO or UD... as usual *sigh.
Wlad might accidentally KO Haye with a jab before Haye gets any sort of chance to land one of his haymakers. Or ...... Haye might pull out of the fight with a bad back or some other bull**** and go and find someone easier to fight.
Wlads chin is okay. Haye will not be able to land on Wlads chin, Wlad will stay behind the Jab and punish Haye with big Rights and left hooks. Wlad by KO.
Why should we trust you? do you have some unbelivable insight in how hard he punches, or if wlads chin is weak?:verysad
Haye is a good fighter, one of the TOP5 HW. He is keen, powerful, and fast. He is intelligent to adapt to different fighters (he fought completely different vs. Valuev than he fought vs. Ruiz). His Hayemakers demand respect. But that's it. He is not stronger, quicker, or better in any department to Wlad. Technical skill, defense, ring generalship, experience, chin - he good, but not better than Wlad. And the younger K brother patented "protect my chin", making it an "art" form. Until Saturday I thought, Haye would be far faster than Wlad. Now I don't. Haye would need a very lucky punch to KO Wlad. And, since Wlad knows his own weakness, we would suffer a couple of boring rounds, during which Haye eats the stiff jab, while he fails to get inside to deliver his Hayemaker. And, as soon as Haye is off balance from squishing his nose at the jab, Wlad ends it, like he ended Chambers. Yes, Haye dominated Ruiz and won via TKO. But he did not destroy or pick him apart like surgeon. Before the fight, I gave Haye a good puncher's chance vs. Wlad. Now I give him a slim puncher's chance vs. Wlad.
Haye moves well and can slip punches but Wlad's own movement and handspeed will make it hard for him. If Haye can avoid getting hit by anything meaningful he'll have to expend a lot of energy staying away from him, and he'll probably run out of steam if it goes into the middle rounds. If Haye is going to win this one he'll have to hurt Wlad early
Wlad rarely gets hit on the chin, but if someone connects, he is going down. Steve Pannell (!!!!!!) managed it, so did Ross Puritty, Corrie Sanders, Davaryll Williamson (!!!!!!), Lamon Brewster and Samuel Peter. That is not an OK-chin. :-(
To answer the thread, it´s off course not given that Haye will KO Wlad, but he is probably the one in the division with the best chances, cause of his speed, explosiveness and power. I still favour Wlad, as Haye himself doesn´t have the best chin, but if he somehow can manage to land on Wlad´s chin, then it will be lights out Wlad i guess.
Haye speed and power pose a serious threat towards either klitschko because they both lack head movement.
Vitali has good (but not excellent) head movement, IMHO. He seems to stand in front of his opponent, open mouth, hands down, slunched foreward. Like an open target. But he rarely gets touched. A boxer of 6'6'' with even mediocre defensive movement is an oddity, and both Klitschkos are better than "mediocre" in the defense department. They are pretty fast for their size.
