I agree with the original post, Haye's an excellent body puncher just ask Mormeck. I can see Haye targetting the body early on especially
Valuev is so overrated, even his reach is overrated at 85" it is 1" longer than Lennox Lewis' and 1 inch shorter than Micheal Grant's
Haye is very adept at going to the body. He throwas these looping hooks under the elbow as the opponent moves out. These are going to be key. I actually think he will throw virtually exclusively body shots for about the first 3 rounds. This will hopefully cause the big guy to crouch more. Also its the shots you don't see coming that knock you out. So if Haye can virtually ignore head shots for the first few rounds he may have more impact when he does go for the head. It is however very easy to lose focus when going to the body against a big guy. Because in thrwoing the body shots his arms are going to be low he will be open himself to the headshot. He needs to be lightning in and out. If you watch the Calzaghe vs Lacy bout from the birds eye view, you will see that every time Joe throws a combination he steps out at right angles. This is exactly what Haye needs to do all night long to avoid getting clipped. If he steps straight back at any point in the fight Valuevs 7 inch reach advantage will put Haye on his seat. If Haye can show Valuev angles all night he may not get hit that much. My prediction is a Haye Knockout around 7 or 8. Mark my words though, I do expect Haye to go down at some point in this fight. If it goes past the 10th I can only see the big guy winning. Angles, angles, angles!!! For me thats the key.
