stop smoking crack and buy some glasses. he beat the **** out of cant jump for **** barrett. he was never knocked down. your talking complete bull****. can he beat the klits.? of course he can. its just going to be a lot harder than beating barrett though. im guessing your american and you viewed the fight through a jam jar from the other side of the atlantic because if that was a knock down i will gladly shoot myself.:rasta

Interesting, David Haye himself admits it was a knock down

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7727154.stm

I was at the fight and pretty much agree with Adam Booth assessment of Haye's performance. I think every time he landed one of his punches clean he saw Monte Barrett get hurt and probably got carried away going for the knockout. As a result Monte became desparate and managed to draw him into a slugging match.

It was exciting for all of us but Haye's shots became wild and I felt he become open to straight shots. Good performance overall and a fun night for everyone.

you're right I saw the fight thru a shitty stream. To me it seemed like a KD. Ok it was a slip then. Your guess is wrong, I'm not american. Doesn't really matter anyway (well, for you it probably does). Bottom line is, the questions about Hayes chin and stamina at HW remain unanswered, because Barrett wasn't a real test. I said exactly the same before the fight. He still hasn't poven ****. Against the Klits he has no more than a punchers chance.

PS: I doubt you would address me so snotty face to face, internet warrior..

Thanks for that, I wish there was a slower version to make it clearer. But it's plainly obvious that Barrett missed with his punch and Haye slipped when he leaned back to avoid. Then Barrett (in panic mode) tries to hit Haye when he's on the ground.

Haye could have ended that fight in 3rd.

fair play for correcting yourself. and i fully agree with you for the record. the barrett fight was not a test of haye's abillitys at heavy. we all know he can bang. but we are still to see if he can take a punch as barrett didnt really bring much to the table. sorry for coming across rude but it just gets boring seeing people look for anything to discredit uk based boxers. it drives me nuts.
and for the record i am no keyboard warrior. i actually box myself and have done for ten yrs. but if your a heavy i may be a little more polite next time as im a mere middle weight.:yep :bbb

Your post, that and your avatar are telling. Your post is laughable.

The referee was very very fair to Barrett, he warned them both equally about punching behind the head, he gave Monte plenty of tie to recover after his KDs, he didn't jump in and stop the fight till Monte looked like he could get hurt and he was right to take the point off Monte ... who let's face it, hit Haye while he was on the ground because he knew he was hurt himself and went into panic mode.

Who's this real heavyweight he needs to fight? C'mon ... name him?

Toney, he knock that fat lump spark out and then you'll criticise him all over again ... he's already called out both Klits.

I've only watched the last 3 rounds on youtube this morning but from what i saw Haye looked alright.

The main things was for his power to come with him to heavy which we saw that it had. Anyone who can combine that sort of speed and power is a very very dangerous opponent for anyone. From what i saw Haye was a bit wild but he is not stupid enough to do that against the klitchko bros , he can fight behind the jab and tighten his punches up when he wants to though and will need to.

How far will he go i'm not sure. His main defect is he holds his hands to low for me, thats okay if you have other worldy relexes like prime roy or a fantastic chin like ali, neither of which david has. If i had to put a beat on now on how fa he will go i would say he could beat anyone but the klitchko's and would make him and wlad about 50/50. Vitali would have to be consider a big favourite

Haye's dat *****, the most exciting fighter in the world..... (over 147lbs)

he'll take a shot to give one, he'll fight if the odds are against him, he doesn't even know the word duck, there's no reason why anyone shouldn't like the guy....if you dislike david haye, go back to worshiping safety first cherry pickers

David Haye is the Real Deal

fair play to david haye he said what he was going to do take barrett out in style.the heavyweight division is crying out for someone like him.someone who can knock guys in quick style unlike these rejecks we have to put up with at the monent with the exceptions of vitali.hopefully these two will get it on next year after haye knock out his bro wladimar.then we will have a number one heavyweight.

He should get credit first for fighting a C+ level in Monte Barret and not some bum with a losing record in his HW debut. Second he should get credit for knocking Barret out proving his power is real.

Here we go again....1 hw fight and he is the savior....

I dislike Haye because he is a big mouth. I dislike him because he talks about how great he is yet he has yet to prove it. I give him credit for beating Barrett, but from all I have read and the little I have seen it was not much of a test. Barrett has been beat several times before whenever he stepped up his competition.

I guess I so not get how all of you hang on his balls like you do when he has yet to prove anything. He beat Barrett. Good. Thats a decent step 1.....but he is still SEVERAL steps from being the "real deal". As far as I am concerned, he is still mostly garbage talk. He has taken a good first step, so I applaud that but I still cannot stand his disrespect and meaningless mouth. Anybody who makes themselves look so pretty before getting into a ring should not be making noise...he should STFU and prove something with his fists...not his make-up.

Does he deserve credit for his 1st HW win...yes. Should he be worshipped....NO.

I think it is encouraging to see a HW who takes risks, not safety first, and gives the fans what they want to see, Knock outs! I think its this lack of boxing ability that may give him a chance against Wlad. He will run out and throw bombs from the opening bell. He will give the HW scene what it hasn't had for a while, a challenger or champion willing to "go for it". It won't last 3 rounds with Wlad when Haye is adopting this "gun-ho" attitude, he will be ko'd or he will ko Wlad within 3. I cant wait!
