i give Haye a lot of credit for winning this fight. Barrett fought a very timid and respectful fight and Haye took advantage of it...much credit to Haye.

I think he deserves a title shot based on this performance alone.

Monte Barrett isn't a pushover and he went through him rather easily...even if the ref was a "homer", he still got the job done.

    Again, much credit to Haye!!

Wasn't that supposed to happen when he stepped up to HW.

I'm no worshipper of Haye but he's exciting, no doubt. He is quick, has heavy hands and can box a bit. His defence is at best ok, needs to keep his left hand up and doesn't have too great a chin. He's supposed to be a decent enough guy away from the cameras but his 'on screen' persona stinks. Like I said, I hardly love the guy but I cannot discredit his performance at CW, after cleaning up. He fights a seasoned pro (not great but top 10 and dangerous) in Barrett in his first (ok 2nd) HW fight. At least the man deserves some respect.

Ok, I realise that he's been calling out the Klit brothers for months but that's boxing and he's a world champ himself, so maybe he sees it as natural progression? He avoids no-one - so it isn't like he has some padded record and wants an easy route to a championship fight. Anyway, let's be honest, who do you see (apart from the Klits) taking him apart in the ring? Like I said earlier, anyone in the HW top 10, potentially has a punchers chance against him.

The man needs a couple of fights against better HW opposition before stepping up to the big two but let's not hang him before he even has a chance.

He gets the nod from me. He needs to tighten up his defence and throw more combinations though. He talked it and walked it.

The man won is stylish fashion againsta dangerous opponent. He brings what NO OTHER heavy brings to the table, inlcuding the Klits, which is excitment. Just what the heavies need.

  8. Whoopedy freaking do The Limey ***** beat a washed up has been that never was. Now he can schedule some tune-up fights against the likes of Tommy Morrisson, Kirk Johnson,Keith McKnight,Iran Barkley,Phil Jackson,Leo Nolan,Mario Cawley,Jimmy Thunder,Butterbean. Then he collect his money, go tell everyone how great he is, fight another bum, all along waiting for his funeral against Vitali Klit. This guy is a complete jerk. If he was a REAL FIGHTER/BOXER HE WOULD FIGHT KEVIN JOHNSON, OR CHRIS ARREOLA. He needs to quit wasting our times with nobodies and step up and get ktfo by a legit HW.
