There's a point actually, I'd forgotten all about them. Must have a nose around some threads and find one.

Of course you could always start one yourself....I always get the credit/**** for it but the originator of that series was Jazzo, years ago :happy

I thoroughly enjoyed that Kevin Johnson thread, was the funniest thing I've read in a long time :lol:

There was a recent one saying Vitali's comeback was better than Foreman's comeback. Might want to have a look at that one.:lol::lol::lol::patsch:patsch:patsch

    Mendoza, by any chance?

I bet he also used phrases like "most rounds won" and "only lost due to injuries" too, right :nut:nut:nut

I think I made a quote of the week about it the last time he banged that particular drum, actually!

That's EXACTLY how the last 2 years have been playing out. The Klitschkos approach Haye, agree to certain terms, then Haye suddenly argues it's not good enough and it's unfair. Rinse and repeat. What makes you so optimistic Haye will actually get in the ring now if Wlad "just agrees to this final little demand"?

Haye and Booth could easily find another little obstacle to create an excuse out of. They simply don't want the fight right now, it's more than obvious.

It doesnt actually matter if these UK casual fans know the name of the champ, the point is that Wlad is the champ and owner of the belts that is capitalising on to sell the fight, and thus Wlad holds major drawing power.

If Haye was doing a WBA defence against a journeyman like Audley it would sell less in UK, and pretty much nowhere anywhere else

Disagree. Are you from the UK?

Haye-Audley would actually do okay numbers, probably about 50% of a Wlad fight. Wlad has absolutely no right to ask for half of Haye's PPV money. It's Haye's PPV deal, it's his fans buying the fight. Haye-Valuev did 800k buys, Wlad would be lucky to do as well as that.

Answer me this, if Wlad, the rich man that he is, wants to fight Haye so much, why is he arguing over Haye's PPV money? Surely if he wanted Haye so much he would take the £1-2million less (estimate) that he would get from just getting his own RTE money and fight Haye?

Letting Haye dictate the rules would be an insult to Wlad cuz it's him who is the CHAMPION here.

Haye is known only in UK whereas Klits are known all around the wrold. 50-50 is way too much for someone who's done nothing in HW yet - ah wait he g.

Strange timing isn't it....HBO drop the Klitschkos and all of a sudden the board is screaming "WALDO offered Haye 50-50!!!"

Didn't HBO say something about not wanting WALDO any more unless he faces Haye? Now if I were a conspiracy theorist I could probably have a field day at this point but I'm not, so I won't.

    Not much anyway :hey

Haye is also a champion, he's got the belt to prove it.

Haye is also known around the world, I hear he's really popular in Cyprus. I also saw a video of him in Africa a while back doing something or other and they loved him. Probably.

Wlad is famous round the world for all the wrong reasons.

He is famous for boring fights, so much so the Americans want nothing to do with him.

and who actually believes that a win over Haye (at this stage of his career) may bring any legacy to anybody? Right now he is only an overhyped big-mouth guy (who would be called like that if he loses now) with accomplishments in CW that doesn't matter in HW. The only reason Klits would like to fight him is just money he delivers (why to fight 2-3 times when you can earn as much in just 1 fight). I don't think there is as huge urge for this fight from Klits as Haye's fans believes.
