NO, as already stated, Wlad gets 3m per fight in Germany. 4 Belts? You're counting the IBO???? And the Ring Belt too I'm guessing? As far as I know, there are 3 guys currently walking around with recognised, top level belts at the moment. Wlad has 2 belts. And that's if you count the WBO as being on par with the other 3 - which IMO it isn't, not quite.
And for the record. I don't give a **** who's to blame. I just think it's bull**** that we have really, 3 guys that are (or appear to be) a level above the others, and NONE of them have fought each other. Just ****ing sort it out. (Altho 2 being brothers is bull**** too IMO. I don't expect them to fight, but certainly gives them ridiculous bargaining power and control over the division)
There are not 3 guys currently walking around with recognised, top level belts at the moment. There only two with the name KlitschKO. The guy with the WBA belt is a wannabe. WBA has turned into a complete joke. Just look at their rankings and champions, super champions, regular. etc.
It appears that Brits are priding themselves in how much money they can throw at their idol and admire him for his ability to sell himself to them.... A vicious circle of insanity way outside boxing as such...
50/50 of all TV, but Haye keeping all UK revenue and Wlad keeping all German.... I fail to see how this is fair. Haye will generate most of the UK revenue. Wlad will generate every cent of TV elsewhere, plus everything else. If there is TV anywhere else in the world, they will be paying for Wlad, not Haye. The gate will be made up of 90% due to Wlad. How about Haye keeps UK PPV, as that is all he can claim to generate, and Wlad keeps everything else, because that is what he generates?
Pretty much, and to be fair the main Haye entertainment factor relies on the fact hes an inferior heavyweight and his fights are more 50/50, with the Klits you know they are going to win pretty much every time out
there is no debate to this. wlad deserves more money, like 66/33 or 75/25. i dont give a **** about who the bigger draw is, boxing should be about talent. As it stands now there is Wlad and a host of challengers. If Haye beats Vitali he will step away from that group and for the first time in 5 years people will truly debate the outcome of wlad's next fight. if the fight was to happen now it should be 66/33 wlad/haye minimum. but let haye first take on vitali for 50/50, then he can take on wlad 50/50.
Absolutely! There is not doubt that Haye does not deserve 50/50 split. Wladimir KlitschKO have been very generous to him.
Not true. Theres no HBO without Haye and its 5x a bigger fight than anything else either man does. They both need eachother. Looks there no doubt Haye is ducking Wlad but you cannot say he doesn't deserve 50-50 theres no logic to that. His fights make as much money and Wlads.
But Haye got them to fall for it with his PR so he deserves the money. Why should Wlad get half the money for Hayes hard work in the UK and why should Haye get half the money for Wlads hard work in germany?
Before the last ppv, haye was appearing everywhere on british tv to hype the fight, eg chat shows. This boosted the ppv sales. Wlad should agree to do the same and then hell also deserve a split of the uk ppv money. Anyway its a bit late now. Hope something can be sorted in the future
The idea of each fighter getting paid by how much they individually generate is the only "fair" outcome. The problem is that it is hard to prove who brings the money. Haye isn't doing badly, but Wlad has phenomenal ongoing financial success with his fights. If they split everything 50/50 - all revenue from all sources (individual merchandising aside) as well as all costs (individual camps aside) then that is a more than fair offer, and should be accepted. I can't imagine Haye getting a better offer than that either - so that's the point where we find out if the fight will happen anytime soon.
