Another highly amateurish move by Booth/Haye and not indicative of somebody who tries everything to get a fight done. Not answering your phone and then telling the press the "offer wasn't good enough" is just lame. I find Finkel's words highly interesting. Didn't Booth just say 3-4 months ago that "we want 50/50 no options or there's no deal". Isn't this what Finkel offered him? And then Booth stops replying? Highly interesting.
Haye won't fight even if he gets 100%. He pissed off Wlad real bad and knows very well that he might need a wheelchair after the fight....
Fact twisting by your lot will never stop..... People like just can't live without and idol.... shame you picked such a miserable oneatsch
Domestic earnings? Haha That's hilarious. There's no such thing as domestic earnings in boxing, there's always one pot. Always has been. Throw all the revenues in one pot and then figure out the split. So who of the Haye defenders is still saying Haye wasn't offered a 50/50 split of the pot?
Wasn't Haye being paid from tv money only for the original Wlad fight? And haven't you been critical of that decision? Yep. Thought so.
Exactly, All of a sudden 50/50 is not enough for team Haye. atsch What is even more sad is that Haye's fans think the same way, if Haye refuses a 60-40 deal in his favor they would still blame Wlad. I swear Booth and Haye have several accounts on ESB and they are trying to spread excuses. Well Doivid and Adam, you are doing a great job, the blind sheeps are still following!!! :nut
:huh The Klitschkos are popular in germany. We just don´t have a PPV system established and watching boxing is for free here. What does it have to do with Wlads popularity?
Dumb and Dumber Cont'd atsch RTL has no PPV, no German channel does. WK's last fight was viewed by rufly 12 million viewers - the numbers where published in the news somewhere. But Klitschko still makes the contractual minimum with RTL regardless of these numbers - that's how free TV works. Less viewers in England yields higher revenue solely because of PPV - not because more people will watch it. It has nothing to do with WK's popularity in Germany. Besides, Haye wouldn't be shadow boxing on UK PPV now would he? It's Wlad he would have been fighting, so it's only fair to share everything. Which is exactly what Wlad offered - collect all the money and split it evenly. The ultimate 50/50. Haye walked away. How in the hell can you defend that? Un****ingbelieavable...
I posted this on the Brit forum: The main disagreement seems to be Haye wanted 100% of UK tv money and Wlad would get 100% of German tv money. Doesn't mention other TV rights or gate receipts etc However, Wlad wanted all the TV money to go into the pot and be split evenly. Now a year ago, Haye agreed to take only UK tv money (from Setanta). Now that Haye is a PPV star in the UK and making good money from SBO he says he'll take the UK money which he brings in and allow Wlad to keep the German money which the Klits bring in. However, K2 now want a share of the Sky money? This **** doesn't make sense to me. Done a google search and the Klits signed a 5 fight deal with RTL (German TV) for 5 fights - 3 Wlad and 2 Vitali worth $15m. That works out at $3m per fight. Now Haye's TV money is less clear. But assuming Haye-Wlad sells 500,000 PPVs at £15 a pop, that's £7.5m. Obviously Haye wouldn't get all of that but a fair chunk would go to him (I assume). So now Haye has more earning potential than before and the Klits realise it. So they want a piece of the UK pie. So that's where the 50/50 comes from IMO. Quite possibly, a 50/50 with Haye including Sky and HBO would probably earn Wlad a bit more than he would with a 70/30 against someone else.
I know there is no PPV in German but he has TV deal what is made according how popular hes fights are. If he cant make similar money on hes TV deal, than Haye can, then its tough luck to him
Let´s not get carried away, fact is Haye was offered a 50:50 split and still he refused to fight the ring champ. No multi fight option, no bull****, just 50:50. "Cleaning out the division" my ass
Not just Haye - any other named fighter who's regularly on PPV. That's why they have endorsements and fill out stadiums. Let me remind you BTW that back in the day it was WK's conscious decision to abandon PPV while still being on HBO because he wanted more people to be able to see his fights. So much for his "greed" huh Hating on WK has been a bad joke from the beginning but it took on some monstrous proportions as of late, I really don't recall a fighter that were hated as much as he is in the recent history of the division... geeez....
