Nobody has mentioned Wlad's age or seems to think it is an issue, but I do. Its worked out to Haye's advantage that the fight is happening now rather than 2 years ago & not just financially. "I eat tall, chinny eastern europeans for breakfast."
I see Haye approaching the fight with a similar strategy to the one he used with Valuev...ie quick flurries and the out of there quickly. Of course, Wlad has far more skill than Valuev, a very good jab and stands a good chance of catching Haye on the way in and if he does he will stop Haye. However, if Corrie Sanders can knock Wlad out, and Lamon Brewster, then why not Haye? It's a simplistic view, but Haye is faster, a better boxer and you know he hits as hard as those two. Wlad may well have improved since then, but his chin won't have. And he isn't used to being in competitive fights of late, whereas Haye has had his ups and downs throughout his career and will be prepared for whatever comes his way. I think it will be very tense affair for about 4 rounds until someone lands and I think and hope it will be Haye.
Wlad 4-6 = 7/1 Wlad 7-9 = 9/1 Wlad 10-12 = 11/1 All good bets worth a punt imo. Probably put more down on 7-9 than the other two. I believe Haye will have gassed by then.
Haye's ability to punch "on the lunge" will win the fight for him. Wlad can only throw from a conventional set feet standpoint, while Haye has more mobility and improvisation and can throw more effectively off balance. In that moment of truth, Wlad will bottle it and go backwards and Haye will spring like a salmon and land a hail mary.
this! i watched the early part of the ruiz fight again and haye looked sharp and fresh and fast in the first round. 2nd round he got caught repeatedly by the jab and clipped by a few right hands. he also threw very little too. so basicallly he was semi gassed after one round and his boxing deteriorated. think wlad wil make mincemeat of him after a few dodgy moments in opening couple rounds. seems to me as soon as haye is slightly gassed he gets sloppy technically. so round 3 onwards he starts to take jab after jab after jab before a big right dumps him on his arse.
People need to shut the **** up about the Ruiz vs Haye fight, David Haye was 222 pounds, and he was not in the best of his condition. Its the only time in his life, where he almost became cocky with his abilitys............Adam Booth corrected that. People need to understand that.... "These guys know what David Haye is going to do, and they can't do anything about it" Wladimir Kiltschko vs David Haye will look excalty like Audley Harrison vs David Haye. I believe the fight will last 6 - 7 rounds tops, David Haye will win via KO or TKO. If David Haye was going to lose any fight, it would of been against Audley Harrison. I've said it time and time again, any lesser fighter would of not been able to get themselves in the best shape of their lives, up against a so called miss-match opponent. But David Haye did just that, and that speaks volumes of his character and mentality. If the David Haye that fought Ruiz, would of come up against Audley Harrison, Audley Harrison would of won. I was one of those people before the fight that deep down thought David Haye was going to underestimate Harrison, not in the manner of coming into the ring fat. I mean in the manner of psychologically, like the way Oscar De La Hoya underestimated Bernard Hopkins. But weeks out from November 13th, i could see in David Haye's eye's that this was never going to happen. David Haye will never EVER lose a fight in our life times, David Haye will never lose a fight under the Marques of Queens bury rules. He's more talented that both Kiltschko's physically and mentally, and couple this with his training regime which is on a totally different level, not so much physically. But Psychologically, to any other boxer......... Boxers are afraid to unearth there weakest mentally, and speak about them, but this is one of the reasons why David Haye did a job on Audley Harrison. Adam Booth gets inside fighters heads, he extracts the confidence and replaces confidence with logical thought and solutions. The fact of the matter is, many people will also ignore the total technical job David Haye did on Audley Harrison. Many people will slate Audley Harrison, but show me one fight of his, show me footage, where he was reduced to landing 1 punch in 3 rounds..? You won't find any footage, because win or lose, nobody has ever had the ability to do that against Audley Harrison. On his worst day, he was beating up and knocking down Michael Sprott before, Michael Sprott threw a punch with his eye's close, in the rematch with Sprott, and with one 1 for 80% of the fight. The fight was still competitive, Audley Harrison was still able to win rounds with 1 arm..... Against Martin Rogan, Audley Harrison hit and hurt Martin Rogan numerous times, against Danny Williams first time round, after Audley Harrison was knocked down, he got up and put it on Danny Williams. All this hype and mythical bull**** the media created about Audley Harrison. That he couldn't fight, that he is terrified to fight was bull**** and it still is total bull****. Audley Harrison will never lose another fight in the manner in which he did to David Haye again. I believe David Haye's performances Audley Harrison was the greatest of his whole career. Because i know boxing, and i know what happened that night from a technical view point.
Haye will KO Wlad in Round 4...:yep I see this as one of his easiest fights...:yep Wlad is just there to be hit, it's not a hard fight for Haye...:deal It's the Vitali fight he will need the brawn, savvy and strategy...:deal
It's not that hard to picture really. Wlad does the same thing every fight, so thats not at all hard to envisage. On the other side of the coin, Haye, has largely done the same thing in each of his last few fights at heavyweight with slightly differing degrees of aggression depending on the size of his opponent. The gameplan has largely been the same, he's just thrown a bit more in some than others. So I believe its mostly a case of matching that up. And, Haye's style, I think they'll see that as being able to diffuse Wladimir's jab. To some extent. So I don't see that changing into anything more aggressive, he'll hit the angles, keep outside Wlad's jabbing range and look (cautiously) for spots. Wlad will probably miss a lot more than he's used to with his jab. The best comparison is probably going to be Wlad/Ibragimov I'm afraid.
