Haye won't be the saviour of the HW division.

Haye won't be the saviour. That's just hype and wishful thinking. Haye was/is a good CW champ, but I don't believe he can go far in the division. He's simply not 'the real deal' like Holyfield was.

    Here's why:

-Haye can barely take a good CW punch. How can he take a real HW punch? His chin is worse than Wladimirs, at least Wlad got knocked down by true HW punchers. Haye got knocked down by CWs - and btw Thompson and Mormeck are former LHWs and Mock is a blown up SMW.

-Haye always had stamina issues. His stamina won't get any better by adding 20lbs of muscle. Haye has only fought two times more than 8 pro rounds in his career, I don't think he can keep up his speed after the middle rounds when he's gassed.

Now some of you might argue that Haye won't get caught at HW because of his superior speed, but believe me as long as Haye thinks he can fight like Roy Jones he will get caught, cause he simply isn't skilled or fast enough to fight like Roy and get away with it.

Others will argue that Haye is a natural HW and him not needing to make weight anymore will make him stronger in the ring, with a better chin and stamina. But a weak chin will always remain a weak chin and can't be substantially improved by bulking up. And Haye always looked ripped and in shape at CW, but never weak or dehydrated, so I don't think his stamina issues stem from cutting weight.

IMO Haye can win a couple of fights in this weak division, he can beat guys like Bidenko or Barrett, and maybe/probably get a shot at a belt, but he will get KOed sooner or later, and again and again... Sorry brits, but he's not the next Lennox Lewis...

Indeed, I agree with all points.

Haye is no where near as good as he thinks he is. Or his fans think he is. If Fragomeni had a power at all, Haye would of been laid out cold. Haye is not RJJ. Haye won his belts from cheap left overs, after the best Cruiserweights left the divsion, Juan Carlos Gomez, James Toney, Vassily Jirov. Mormeck is an average fighter who can barely beat a 45 year old Virgil Hill.

you make some good points. and have clearly seen him fight unlike some of the brit fighter haters on here.
i hope your wrong because the heavy weight div is so poor right now and it needs someone to liven things up. i think if haye can use his speed and somehow keep his chin out of the way, he will have to change his style for that in my opinion because he fights with hands so low all the time. then he could have some success. either way he will either clean up or get ko'ed either way it should be ****ing exciting. i cant wait to see him fight at heavy.

You make some valid points but the division is so weak Haye should win a title. After seeing him demolish Enzo Mac and then switching channels to watch Peter's pathetic performance against Maskaev there's no doubt in my mind that Haye would KO Peter in 3 or 4 rnds.
I think he would struggle against Wlad but he is well able to beat the rest

Haye is going to be #1 HW in the world, you will learn soon, Wlad has already said he wants to fight the Hayemaker.

Haye can't take a punch, period. Nearly all the Heavyweights hit hard. Every fight is danger for Haye.

Heavyweights can't take Hayes punch either, none of them, you will soon find out.
